TRYING TO HEAR=THE WORD OF GOD

Trying to HEAR the

Word of God=and understand it

Is NOT an easy proposition

There are all KINDS of

Things that make it difficult=

That is why-

Jesus spoke IN PARABLES=

To try and make

THE WORD=

Easier to understand ( with his explanation)

“Some seed-

Fell among THORNS

And the thorns grew up

And CHOKED it=

And it produced no grain” Mark 4:7

We live in a SECULAR WORLD=

And we hear all kinds

Of things=every day

Profanity-lies-exaggerations galore-

Some of these

Are the thorns

Maybe some of these things

Are the=KINDS of things

That choke off

The Word of God=in us

TRY TO HEAR

And understand=

The WORD OF GOD

“........if my people

Who are called=by my name

Will humble themselves=and pray

And seek my face

And turn=from their wicked ways

Then I will HEAR

From heaven=and I will forgive=their sin

And will heal their land” 2 Chronicles 7:14

“Does he=who fashioned the ear

Not HEAR?

Does he=who formed the eye=

Not see?” Psalm 94:9

“Whoever has ears=

LET THEM HEAR” Matthew 11:15

Thank God=we have

Jesus to explain=this parable

It is so complicated

God's words LANDS

In all kind of places=

In rocky ground=

In the thorns=and sometimes

IF we are lucky

In the fertile ground

Of our HEARTS=

Then it grows in us

And spreads

THROUGHOUT THE WORLD

“I planted the seed-

Apollos watered it=but God has

Been MAKING IT GROW” 1 Corinthians 3:6

“BUT GROW

In the grace of knowledge

Of our Lord=and

Savior Jesus Christ

To him be glory-

Both now and forever=Amen” 2 Peter 3:18

I don't think

Jesus is BLAMING US

So much=when we don't grasp

The WORD OF GOD

It is the WORLD

We live in=Jesus is

Telling us to pay attention

And pray=and take

SOME TIME to be still

And silent=listen to him

And HEAR=THE WORD OF GOD

In Jesus' name=and in the name of our FOREVER TEACHING HOLY FATHER!
