AS MANY TIMES AS NECESSARY

AS MANY TIMES AS NECESSARY

Have you ever TRIED

To escape God? I have=

And it is IMPOSSIBLE=

If he wants-

You to do something

Today we read about Jonah=

And that very fact

Rather than PREACH the

Word of God=in

The city of Nineveh=which

Would be an UNPOPULAR MESSAGE

Jonah hops on a boat

To Tarnish=and tries to ESCAPE

From that unpopular task

But Jonah couldn't OUTRUN GOD=

And neither can we=

And he winds up-

In the belly of a fish

For a FULL three days and nights

“The Word of the Lord

Came to Jonah

A SECOND TIME” Jonah 3:1

So if God is trying

To get your ATTENTION

With his WORD

You might as well=PAY ATTENTION

For God the Father

Will come after you

AS MANY TIMES AS NECESSARY

“Therefore=it is NECESSARY

To submit to the authorities

Not only because=of possible punishment

But also=as a matter of conscience” Romans 13:5

So LISTEN for God's words-

LISTEN UP!=God will

Get your attention

So when God came to Jonah

For a second time

He stopped=listened=

And FOLLOWED God's words

Listen up!=God may be

TRYING to get your attention too

“Listen my sons=to a Father's instruction=

PAY ATTENTION

And gain understanding” Proverbs 4:1

“My son

PAY ATTENTION to my wisdom

Turn your ear

To my words of insight” Proverbs 5:1

So Jonah's story

Is some CONSOLATION to us=

Who have tried to AVOID God's words

But you can't ignore-ESCAPE-

Or run away from the WORD OF GOD

He will come after you

AS MANY TIMES as it takes=

As many times AS NECESSARY

Listen up

“My sheep

LISTEN to my voice=

I know them

And they follow me” John 10:27

Our Holy Father is PERSISTENT=

He comes after us

A second time=a third time=

AS MANY TIMES AS NECESSARY

To get our attention

He COMES after us

Until we give attention

And HEAR the WORD OF GOD

And EMBRACE=the Word of God

In Jesus' name=and in the name of our ever PERSISTENT Holy Father
