SEEKING THE LORD!
Today the disciples
SEEK OUT Jesus=but
Jesus turns the tables
On them=
And asks them a question
Jesus KNOWS we are
Seeking him too=and
WANTS us to know why=
And wants us to know
WHAT we seek of him
“Jesus TURNED and saw them
Following him and
Said to them
'What are you looking for?'
They said to him
'Rabbi........where are you staying?'” John 1:38
I WONDER if the disciples
Knew what they were SEEKING=
And I wonder IF we know
What we seek of Jesus
I think=in some respects
We are all LOOKING FOR GOD=
And I think God wants us to FIND HIM
Right there=living INSIDE OF US
SEEKING THE LORD!
Looking for the Lord
“But if from there
YOU SEEK the Lord
Your God
You will find him
If you SEEK HIM
With all your heart
And with all your soul” Deuteronomy 4:29
“I SEEK YOU
With all my heart=
Do not let me stray
From your commands” Psalm 119:10
“SEEK THE LORD
While he may be found=
Call on him=while he is near” Isaiah 55:6
What is it
You WANT form the Lord
When you turn to him?
When we lay our questions-
Hopes and fears BEFORE the Lord=
What are we hoping
To RECEIVE for the Lord?
SEEKING THE LORD!
Seeking his love and forgiveness
Seeking his APPROVAL=for our lives
We come in prayer
Seeking guidance from the Lord
We seek him=we SEARCH for him
All the days of our lives-
At least I know that I do
Isn't it really CHRIST himself
That we seek?=
Our desire for the Lord
ARISES from Christ's
Own desire for us=
SEEKING THE LORD!
“But SEEK first his kingdom=
And his righteousness
And all these things
Will be given to you as well” Matthew 6:33
“For the Son of Man
Came to SEEK=and to
Save the lost” Luke 19:10
Every day we come
And I come=SEEKING THE LORD
And we find him=LIVING
Right at the bottom
Of our own hearts
For the Lord=SOUGHT US
Out first=and he is
Always within=LIVING IN US!
In Jesus' name=and in the name of our ever LOVING HOLY FATHER!
