DIG A LITTLE DEEPER
ONE THING about Jesus=
He NEVER just took
What was happening
ON the surface=at face value
HE ALWAYS=DUG A LITTLE DEEPER
He was NOT CONTAINED=
By HUMAN made boundaries=
Such as=birth status=religious differences=
OR POLITICAL VIEWS
NEITHER should we be
We should
DIG A LITTLE DEEPER!=
Just like Jesus=and by
REACHING OUT=a little deeper
God CAN=Jesus can=SEE
Into our hearts
“The WOMAN was a Greek=
A Syrophoenician by birth
And she BEGGED HIM
To drive the demon=Out of her daughter”
Mark 7:26
This foreigner=this Syrophoenician woman
ASKS for Jesus’ INTERVENTION
In saving her Child=SURPRISINGLY
Jesus says NO
But the woman PERSISTS=she BEGS Jesus
Finally Jesus says YES
DIG A LITTLE DEEPER!
“The Spirit searches all things
Even the
DEEP THINGS of God
For who knows=a person’s thoughts
EXCEPT their own spirit=within them?”
1
Corinthians 2:10
“They must keep hold
Of the DEEP TRUTHS=of the faith
With a clear conscience”
1 Timothy 3:9
In today’s story
Jesus DOESN’T SEE=a heathen woman
BEGGING beneath his feet
Jesus=DIGS A LITTLE DEEPER
And looks=at the HEART
He sees a person=IN NEED of help
Help=for her sick daughter
DIG A LITTLE DEEPER!
Reach out=and HELP someone
Who needs help
“The Lord will
Guide you always=he will
SATISFY YOUR NEEDS”
Isaiah 58:11
“And my God
Will meet=ALL YOUR NEEDS
According to the riches=of his glory
IN Jesus Christ”
Philippians 4:19
So just don’t look
At SOMEONE’S OUTER APPEARANCES
DIG= A LITTLE DEEPER
Take a long look
AT SOMEONE’S HEART=
Before you judge someone
(BETTER YET=don’t judge at all)
Let us STRIVE=to look
More deeper into relationships
BEFORE we start
To judge anyone/everyone
For the Lord=DOES LOOK
At the heart=The Lord
DIGS A LITTLE DEEPER=so should we
Before casting people aside
DIG A LITTLE DEEPER!
In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our FOREVER living and
LOVING=Holy Father God!
