THE LITMUS TEST!

 

It may SURPRISE you=but

There really is a LITMUS TEST!=to see

How well we are doing=in

LIVING LIKE CHRIST!

 

Are we LOVING those=who

Don’t love us back?=Are we

FORGIVING those=who are DELIBERATELY

Out to harm us?

THE LITMUS TEST!

 

IF your answers=to these questions=are

A DEFINITE YES=you are

LIVING IN OUR LORD=with LOVE!

 

“But with you=IS FORGIVENESS=

That you may be revered”                                                                                                       Psalm 130:4

 

Are you LIVING=in the LIGHT

Of our dear Lord’s love?

Are you living=with FORGIVENESS

And mercy=at your CORE?=if you are=you are

LIVING=just like Jesus

 

IF=you are=NOT loving=forgiving

And being MERCIFUL==to those who

Are not kind to you=you are

NOT a solid Christian=you are

NOT passing the litmus test!

 

“Nevertheless=GOD’S SOLID FOUNDATION

Stands firm=sealed with this inscription=

 

‘’The Lord knows=those who are his’=and

‘Everyone who confesses=the name of

The Lord=must turn away from wickedness’”                                                                           2 Timothy 2:19

 

“In fact=though by this time

You ought to be teachers

 

You need someone=to teach you

The elementary truths=of God’s word

All over again

You need milk=NOT SOLID FOOD”                                                                                                  Hebrews 5:12

 

I have to tell you=YEARS AGO

I was=NOT a solid Christian

 

I was NOT=good at forgiving=

I was not good=AT BEING MERCIFUL

 

But I have=WORKED at it=I

Have tried=to become MORE CONSISTENT=in

Living=God’s love=kindness=mercy

And FORGIVENESS

 

I still am=NOT PERFECT=at it

But I am much better=than I USED to be

I am=MUCH more merciful=and forgiving

And loving=TRYING to pass

THE LITMUS TEST=at becoming a GOOD CHRISTIAN

 

“For the Lord=your God

Is a MERCIFUL GOD=he will not abandon

 

Or destroy you==or forget the covenant

With your ancestors=which he

Confirmed to them=by oath”                                                                                                      Deuteronomy 4:31

 

“But in your great MERCY=

You did not put an end=to them

Or abandon them

 

For you are=a gracious

AND MERCIFUL GOD”                                                                                                            Nehemiah 9:31

 

WHEN=we are merciful and forgiving

Like our Holy Father God=like

Our Jesus

 

His light=the LIGHT OF GOD

Remains VIBRANT=in us=we are

TO be the EXAMPLE=in today’s world

 

So that others=CAN SEE

The light of God=in EACH OF US

 

IF you are an example=of

God’s love=kindness=forgiveness=and MERCY

In today’s world=you have

PASSED THE LITMUS TEST!

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our ever LIVING and loving

As well as FORGIVING and MERCIFUL=Holy Father God!
