“The very large crowd
SPREAD their cloaks
On the road


While others cut branches
From the trees
And strewed
Them on the road


CRYING OUT and saying:
'HOSANNA to the son of David'” Matthew 21:8-9


Today is PALM SUNDAY
The crowd is CHEERING-
WELCOMING Jesus


But by Friday-
At this time
We go from the TRIUMPHAL WELCOMING-


To the crowd cheering
“CRUCIFY HIM!”


Palm trees have great strength
Sometimes they SURVIVE-
When the great oak
And pine trees are toppled and uprooted


The palm tree
SYMBOLIZES Jesus' great strength


He was ROOTED in his
Father's LOVE-and able
To DRINK the cup


The LOVE OF GOD
The love of his Father-
ROOTED like a palm tree


BROUGHT HIM
Back to LIFE again


Dear Lord-dear Jesus-how GRATEFUL
We are that you came
To SHOW US-
How to LIVE and be
ROOTED IN GOD'S LOVE


Dear Lord-Dear Jesus=
HELP US to do the same
By living in-
And being ROOTED
In GOD THE FATHER'S LOVE
