Today is Friday=The only Friday
In the Triduum-
Between Holy Thursday-and the EASTER VIGIL


Thank God it is FRIDAY
Thank God is is PERFECT FRIDAY


When the perfect LOVE of God
The perfect love of Christ
Died for us all


“Jesus said, 'I thirst'” John 19:28


DARKNESS is upon us-
The hinge of history itself


WHERE the perfect LOVE of God
The perfect love of Christ
TRANSCENDS darkness
Transcends even death
To BECOME God's fountain of MERCY
For us all


“You Lord-
ARE my LAMP


The Lord TURNS my darkness
Into light” 2 Samuel 22:29


“It was now about noon
And DARKNESS
Came over the whole land


For the sun stopped shining
And the curtain
Of the temple
Was torn in two


Jesus called out
With a loud voice,


'Father-
Into your hands-
I commend my spirit'


When he had said this-
He BREATHED his last” Luke 23:44-46


And his SPIRIT
Transcended even death


THANK GOD-it is Friday
Thank God for perfect Friday
Thank God for PERFECT LOVE


Perfect love CAN transcend
Even darkness and death


“And the PEACE OF GOD
Which TRANSCENDS all understanding


Will GUARD your hearts
And your minds in Christ Jesus” Philippians 4:7


And the LOVE OF GOD
The LOVE of Christ-
His PERFECT LOVE-
Will bring MERCY to us ALL


Pope Francis once REMINDED us
Jesus' thirst-is GOD'S MERCY
For us all-


And it REPRESENTS a HOLY YEAR
That never ends


“They put gall in my food
And gave me VINEGAR
For my thirst” Psalm 69:21
(a foreshadowing of Jesus' crucifixion)


“BLESSED are those
Who hunger
And thirst for RIGHTEOUSNESS
For they will be filled” Matthew 5:6

Let the ONE
Who is thirsty COME


And let the one
Who wishes-
Take the free GIFT
Of the WATER OF LIFE” Revelation 22:17


TGIF=THANK GOD for the perfect
LOVE AND LIGHT OF GOD


Because he=HIS LIFE=transcends death
We will NEVER thirst again


THE MERCY OF GOD is upon us
