ACTING IN THE NAME OF THE LORD

 

God’s NAME-Jesus’ name-MEANS LIFE-

CALLING on the name

Of the Lord-

ACTING in the name of the Lord

To BRING LIFE

 

Today-we hear about Tabitha(Dorcas)=

-A disciples who was ALWAYS

Doing GOOD and helping the poor

 

“……..The disciples-

HEARING that Peter was there

Sent two men-to him

With the REQUEST=

 

‘PLEASE COME to us

Without delay’

So Peter got up

And went to them”                                                                                                                       Acts 9:38-39

 

So Peter-ACTING-

In the name of the Lord

 

Went to her-knelt down-

PRAYED-and said-

“Tabitha get up”

 

With that Tabitha

OPENED her eyes

 

Because Peter=

Was ACTING in the NANE

Of the Lord= a MIRACLE OCCURRED

 

You and I=

May NOT have miracle power

Like Peter

 

But WHICH one of us

Wouldn’t go=or at least PRAY=

WHEN called upon to HELP

A sick friend

 

ACTING & PRAYING to the Lord

For our FRIENDS and those in NEED

In today’s world

 

ACTING in the name of the LORD

 

CALLING on the LORD’S NAME-in prayer-

For others-TO HELP OTHERS

 

“THEN I called

On the name of the Lord=

‘Lord-SAVE ME’”                                                                                                                     Psalm 116:4

 

 

“And you-also are among

Those GENTILES-who are called

To BELONG to Jesus Christ”                                                                                                            Acts 1:6

 

And which one of us

Wouldn’t be DELIGHTED-if

LATER we heard

 

OUR PRAYERS strengthened someone

Who was/or is in NEED

 

ACTING in the name of the Lord-

And RECEIVING the POWER of the Lord

 

And how smart=HOW WISE

Our Lord=KNOWING it wouldn’t be possible

 

To be PRESENT for every one of us-

He LEAVES the HOLY SPIRIT behind

To DWELL within each one of us

 

“The ANGEL ANSWERED-‘the HOLY SPIRIT

Will come on you

And the POWER of the MOST HIGH

Will overshadow you

 

So the HOLY ONE to be born

Will be called

The SON OF GOD

 

,,,,,,,,

For NO WORD from God

Will ever fail”                                                                                                                        Luke 1:35-37

 

The Holy Spirit=DWELLING

Within each one of us

ALLOWS US

 

Just as Peter did with Tabitha

 

To ACT in the NAME of

Jesus OUR LORD

 

Dear Lord-

MAY we always BE

Your hands and feet

In today’s world

 

And be WILLING to CALL on you-

And YOUR HOLY SPIRIT=when we=

Or someone else IS IN NEED

 

IN your NAME dear Lord-Jesus=FOREVER AND EVER
