THEN & NOW=HE WAS=HE IS=THE FACE OF GOD

THEN & NOW=HE WAS=HE IS=
THE FACE OF GOD

Some 2,000 years ago
As Jesus WALKED the dusty hills
And trails-Jesus WAS-
THE FACE OF GOD

And he IS STILL the FACE-
OF GOD TODAY

WHY didn't the apostles
Get it back then?
Why don't we get it today?

“SHOW US........and that will be
ENOUGH for us” John 14:8

IF you are anyone-that EVER tried
To TEACH someone something

You MUST have some idea-
Of HOW EXASPERATED Jesus must have been
To hear this

Just WHEN you think
You are getting somewhere
And your students-ARE getting it

A single statement can REVEAL
How FAR they are
From FULLY UNDERSTANDING

And even after the RESURRECTION
We have the DOUBT
Of Thomas

“A week later
His disciples were
In the house again

And Thomas was with them
Though the doors were locked
Jesus CAME and stood among them
And said-

'PEACE be with you,'
THEN he said to Thomas-

'PUT your finger here
See my hands
REACH OUT your hand
And put it into my SIDE
STOP DOUBTING AND BELIEVE'

Thomas said to him-
'My Lord and MY GOD'” John 20:26-28

And WHAT about us today?
WHY don't we ACCEPT the FACT
That Jesus is the FACE OF GOD?

IF we did=we wouldn't have
A world like we do

Jesus' statement to Thomas
CAN APPLY to us too
“STOP DOUBTING AND BELIEVE”

THEN and now=Jesus was=
Jesus is=THE FACE OF GOD

YES-like Philip=we are saying:
“SHOW US-and that will be ENOUGH
For us”

He has already RESURRECTED
We have EYEWITNESS PROOF

That he was-that he is
The FACE of God

“My heart says of you
'SEEK his face'

Your face-LORD-I will seek” Psalm 27:8

“There he was
TRANSFIGURED before them

His face SHONE like the sun
And his clothes became
As WHITE as the LIGHT” Matthew 17:2

YES!-if we could just SEE his face
-FEEL his presence
It would be ENOUGH

But Jesus REMINDS Philip-REMINDS US TOO-
TODAY=that he was=
And that he IS

THE FACE OF GOD

STOP DOUBTING AND BELIEVE!
In Jesus' name
