DIGNITY FOR ALL!

DIGNITY FOR ALL!

 

I don’t know=IF you

Are like me

 

And have LIVED a through a lifetime

Of a chronic illness=an illness

That has almost ENDED my life

ON any number of occasions

 

But I have a MESSAGE

For you

You are NOT=I repeat=

You are NOT YOUR ILLNESS

 

And you DESERVE the same dignity

Of EVERY other human being

In this world

 

DIGNITY FOR ALL!

 

“MAY God have pity on us

And BLESS US”                                                                                                                        Psalm 67:2

 

I don’t KNOW about you

But I wish I would

Have LIVED in the DAYS of Christ

 

WHEN I could approach him

On the dusty hills and mountains

Of Israel=and ask for HEALING

 

The SAME as any number

Of others did

 

BUT we can still EXPERIENCE HEALING

Even today=for even today=HE HEALS

And he continues to be

THE GREAT PHYSICIAN

 

SCIENCE=the doctors and nurses

ARE just his tools

He IS the great physician

And he CONTINUES to want

To heal us=to GIVE us all=

OUR DIGNITY

 

“Have MERCY on me Lord-

For I am faint

 

HEAL me Lord

For my bones

Are in agony”                                                                                                                               Psalm 6:2

 

“The Lord will strike Egypt

With a plague

 

He will strike them

And heal them

 

They will TURN to the Lord

And he will RESPOND

To their pleas-and heal them”                                                                                                   Isaiah 19:22

 

“Jesus said to them-

‘SURELY-you will quote

This proverb to me:

 

‘PHYSICIAN heal thyself’

 

And you will tell me-

‘DO HERE in your hometown

What we have heard

That you did in Capernaum’”                                                                                                                     Luke 4:23

 

Isn’t it ironic=that the ONE MAN

The one human being

Who ALWAYS treated all with dignity

DIED such a disgraceful-humiliating death

 

TAKING ALL of what we go through

Upon himself

 

YOU=I repeat=LIVE with DIGNITY

That DIGNITY that God and Jesus

BESTOW on every human being

 

For we are REAL PEOPLE=NOT our

Disease=not our physical impairment

 

DIGNITY FOR ALL!

 

“She is CLOTHED

With strength and DIGNITY

 

She can laugh

At the days to come”                                                                                                             Proverbs 31:25

 

WHO can laugh at another

Human being?

Who is so PERFECT

That they can’t feel

COMPASSION and MERCY for another?

 

CERTAINLY not God or Jesus=

Nor me or you

 

For we ALL COME before God

With an open-honest heart=

With our own SPIRITUAL DEFICIENCIES =

And He is GRACIOUS to us

And always BLESSES US

 

DIGNITY FOR ALL!

 

MAYBE not always in this world=

But certainly in GOD’S

 

IN JESUS’ name forever and ever
