ARE YOU AN UPRIGHT PERSON?

ARE YOU AN UPRIGHT PERSON?
The bible mentions
UPRIGHT over and over again
It originally MEANT
Erect or vertical
In the 16th cenury
Today=it basically means
GOOD=HONEST=and ETHICAL
So I ask you=
Are you an UPRIGHT PERSON?
Are you BASICALLY good=honest=
And ethical?
"To the UPRIGHT
I will show
The SAVING POWER of God"                                                                                     Psalm 50:23
Isaiah tells us what it means
To BE an upright person=
It means to "REDRESS the wronged=
HEAR the orphan's plea=and to
DEFEND the widow"                                                                                          Isaiah 1:17
Very SIMILAR=as to what=
James tells us=
TRUE RELIGION IS
"Religion that GOD OUR FATHER
Accepts as pure and faultless
Is this
To look after ORPHANS
And WIDOWS
In their distress
And to KEEP ONESELF
From being POLLUTED
By the world"                                                                                                         James 1:27
It SEEMS to me the number
OF GOOD=honest=and ethical
People are in DECLINE
But I certainly HOPE
That I CAN count you
As such
That I can count you
As UPRIGHT
For I believe
The upright
ARE GOD'S PEOPLE
"GOOD and UPRIGHT
Is the Lord
Therefore he instructs sinners
In his ways"                                                                                                                     Psalm 25:8
"The Lord detests
The SACRIFICE of the wicked
But the PRAYER
Of the UPRIGHT
Pleases him"                                                                                                              Proverbs 15:8
"Rather he must be
Hospitable=one
Who LOVES what is GOOD
Who is self-controlled=
UPRIGHT=holy=and disciplined"                                                                            Titus 1:8
Jesus WARNS us in the
GOSPEL=if we are
Good and upright
We will encounter CONFLICT
Just as he did
That is because
The POWERFUL of the world
THRIVE on injustices
Dear Lord=WE PRAY
That we become
MORE UPRIGHT every day
And that we TRY
To PROMOTE JUSTICE for all
May we STAND UP
For the powerless and the
DEFENSELESS in this world
In Jesus' name and IN the name of OUR DIVINE FATHER
