PEOPLE CHANGE=thank God
For that


I am NOT the SAME
Person today=that I was
WHEN I was twenty
I am NOT as IMPULSIVE
As I once was


People change
SO DID JESUS


A BRAND NEW YOU!


“Jesus came to Nazareth
Where he had GROWN UP........” Luke 4:16


Jesus was NO LONGER=
JUST Mary and Joseph's son=
A ½ brother=or a carpenter


He was the CHOSEN ONE
The one
The WORLD has been waiting for


But the people
Of his HOME TOWN
Didn't believe in Jesus
Didn't believe
In the BRAND NEW YOU


“'But I tell you'=he continued
'NO prophet
Is accepted in HIS home town'” Luke 4:24


There are ADVANTAGES and disadvantages
To going to WHERE you are KNOWN


There MIGHT be a need
By you=to PROVE that you have
Moved BEYOND who you were


But NO MATTER how impressive
The new you is=people might FIND it
DIFFICULT=to accept
The brand new you


Jesus had GROWN into
A BRAND NEW YOU=he
Had become what he
Was MEANT to be
With the help
Of GOD'S GRACE


He was WHO
He was DESTINED to BE=
The MESSIAH=the BRAND NEW YOU!


He was the LIVING TRUTH!


“The nations
Will see you VINDICATED
All kings=your GLORY


You will be CALLED
By a NEW NAME
That the mouth
Of the Lord=will bestow” Isaiah 62:2


“'Go=stand
In the temple courts'


'And TELL the people
All about this NEW LIFE'” Acts 5:20


“Therefore=if anyone
Is in Christ


The NEW creation has come
The old has gone
The NEW IS HERE!” 2 Corinthians 5:17


In RETURNING to his hometown
Jesus was UP to the CHALLENGE


In facing RESISTANCE
His speech was gracious
And AUTHENTIC


He was FILLED UP
With the spirit and
The POWER of his
DIVINE FATHER


He was a BRAND NEW YOU
And I am a NEW person
IN THE LORD
I HOPE that you are too


In the NAME OF JESUS
