THE SOURCE OF THE GOOD NEWS


I think=ONE thing
We always have to REMEMBER=
Is that no matter
Who says it=no matter
WHO writes it


The SOURCE of the GOOD NEWS
Is God=NOT its human conveyors


ALL things come from ABOVE=
The EXCEPTION of course is JESUS=
Who was part God himself


“While there is JEALOUSY=and rivalry
Among you
Are you=not of the flesh


And walking according
To the manner of man?” 1 Corinthians 3:3


In the reading today
Paul is addressing a RIVALRY
Between the FOLLOWERS of Corinth


Who associate
With one teacher
Or another


Saint Paul PLANTED
The GOSPEL in Corinth
And Apollos=who came later
WATERED it


But you CAN'T have
Rival human camps=
The SOURCE of the GOOD NEWS
Is from GOD ALONE


And it IS laid on
Our hearts=minds=and SOULS
By the ONE SPIRIT of God


“I baptize you with water
For repentance=
But after me


COMES one who
Is more powerful
Than I


Whose sandals
I am not worthy
To carry


He will baptize you
With the HOLY SPIRIT
And FIRE” Matthew 3:11


“In the last days=God says
I will pour out
MY SPIRIT
On all people...............” Acts 2:17


“The SPIRIT himself
TESTIFIES with our spirit
That we are GOD'S children” Romans 8:16


The SOURCE of the GOOD NEWS
The source of the
WORD of God


No matter who says it
No matter who writes it


IF it is TRUE
Is God himself and
The SPIRIT


“.......And once made perfect
He became the SOURCE
Of eternal salvation


For ALL who obey him
And was DESIGNATED by God
To be high priest
In the order of Melchizedek” Hebrews 5:9-10


Dear friends=all human argument
OVER the Word of God
Is fruitless


IF it is from God=JESUS=
Or the SPIRIT of God
It will SURVIVE


THE SOURCE of all the GOOD NEWS
IS GOD


In the names of Jesus=the ALMIGHTY FATHER
And the SPIRIT OF GOD
