GIVING WHAT WE HAVE
GIVING WHAT WE HAVE
I don't have
MUCH to give
From a material perspective
In this life
But I always TRY
To GIVE what I can
Toward others
At least to ENCOURAGE them=
And to try and be
A SOURCE OF HOPE
“BLESSED are you who are POOR=
For the Kingdom of GOD
IS YOURS” Luke 6:20
I have heard that
HOMELESS Christians have
Great BIG HEARTS
That they often perform
ACTS of charity for others=
And that they GIVE to others
When they themselves
Are LIVING on the streets
GIVING WHAT WE HAVE=
That is always
What TRUE Christians do
“The precepts of the LORD
Are right=GIVING joy
To the heart
The commands of the Lord
Are radiant
GIVING light to the eyes” Psalm 19:8
“A person finds joy
In GIVING an apt reply---------
And how good
Is a timely word” Proverbs 15:23
“But since you excel
In everything--------in faith-in speech-
In knowledge-in complete earnestness
And in the LOVE
We have kindled to you
See that you also
Excel in the GRACE OF GIVING” 2 Corinthians 8:7
Sometimes=people feel anger=
Resentment=and mistrust=toward
CHRISTIANS who are better off
Than them
And sometimes HOMELESS people
FEEL out of place in church
And attempt to try and HIDE
Their hopelessness
But the truth is=their GENEROSITY
EXTENDS to both other homeless people
And EVEN to those who are better off
Than them
The truth IS=we
Should all RESPOND like
The POOR WIDOW=and always
GIVE WHAT WE HAVE
I TRY to do that
Even though I don't
Have that much to give
“As JESUS looked up
He saw the rich
Putting their gifts
INTO the temple treasury
He also saw a POOR WIDOW put
IN two very small copper coins
'Truly I tell you'=he said=
'This poor widow
Has put in MORE
Than all the others
ALL these people
Gave their gifts
Out of their wealth
But she=out of her poverty
Put in ALL SHE HAD
To live on” Luke 21:1-4
ALWAYS give what you have=
And whether=you be a POOR WIDOW=
HOMELESS=or whatever=you will be
A TRUE CHRISTIAN
In Jesus' name and the name of our ALL LOVING FATHER
