IS GOD'S WORD TAKING ROOT IN YOU?

IS GOD'S WORD TAKING ROOT IN YOU?


As the MODERN day disciples
Of Jesus Christ
We are CALLED


To let GOD'S WORD
Take root in us
And PRODUCE GOOD FRUIT


Is God's word
Taking ROOT in you?


Or is ANXIETY choking off
God's word in you?
Or perhaps=the RICHES
And PLEASURES of life are
Making you think
You are SELF-SUFFICIENT?


That you have NO NEED
For God's WORD in you


“As for the seed
That fell among thorns
They are the ONES
Who have HEARD
But........


They are CHOKED by the anxieties
And riches
And PLEASURES of life........” Luke 8:14


LET the word OF GOD
Take ROOT in you


“If the part
Of the dough
Offered as firstfruits
Is holy


Then the whole batch
Is holy
If the ROOT is holy
So are the branches” Romans 11:16


“And again=Israel says
'The ROOT of Jesse
Will spring up


One who will ARISE
To rule over the nations
In him
The GENTILES will hope” Romans 15:12


ANXIETY can CHOKE OFF
The word of God
In you


It creates FEAR=
Fear that we don't
Have enough time=money=
Or skill


Or the “RICHES OF LIFE”
Can also
DISTANCE us from God


It makes us think that we
Have MORE than we need
It makes us think
That we DON'T NEED GOD at all


BOTH of these failings
Have LIVED in me=at one time=
Or another


Somehow=we have to
FIGHT through it
And let HUMILITY reign is us
And be SUBMISSIVE to God


Let the WORD of GOD
REIGN in you


Is God's word
Taking ROOT in you?


“In God
Whose WORD I praise--------
In God I trust


And am not afraid
WHAT can mere mortals
Do to me?” Psalm 56:4


“Jesus answered=
'It is written
'Man shall not
Live on bread alone


But on EVERY WORD
That comes
From the MOUTH OF GOD'” Matthew4:4


“We will turn
This responsibility
OVER to them


And give our attention
To prayer=and the ministry
OF THE WORD” Acts 6:4


Dear Lord=Help us TRUST in you
So much=That your WORD
Takes ROOT IN me/US


In Jesus' name and the name of HIS LOVING=GLORIOUS FATHER
