IN GOD'S NAME

IN GOD'S NAME


The WORD of God
Belongs to no one=it is
For EVERYONE


And it is NOT for sale
And it is ALL INCLUSIVE


“Would that
ALL the people of the Lord
Were prophets” Numbers 11:29


We all have different jobs
Under the Lord=but
It is all of our jobs
To PROMOTE the Word of God
IN LOVE


Never to tear
Another person down


In today's reading
The Lord comes down
In a cloud
To talk to MOSES


And bestows his spirit
On the others
In his camp


But even those
Not in the camp
Began to prophesy
And Joshua asks Moses
To STOP them


But Moses REFUSES=because
He does NOT CONTROL
The SPIRIT
And they too are ON
The SIDE of the Lord


“For the Lord
Will be at your SIDE


And will keep your foot
From being snared” Proverbs 3:26


“Jesus answered=
'You say
That I am a king


In fact
The reason I was born
And came into the world


Is to testify
To the truth


Everyone on the SIDE
Of truth=listens to me'” John 18:37


And this story
Is duplicated in today's gospel
WHEN John says to Jesus
That others have been HEALING
In your name


“'Teacher'=said John='we saw someone
Driving out demons
In your NAME
And we told him
To stop


Because he is
NOT one of us'” Mark 9:38


“'Do NOT stop him'=said Jesus=
'For no one


Who does a miracle
In my name
CAN in the next moment


Say anything bad about me
For whoever is not against us
IS FOR US'” Mark 9:39-40


IN GOD'S NAME=we are LOVE=
In God's NAME=we proclaim
GOOD for all


It is a great idea
That the HOLY SPIRIT
MOVES through the universe


To HELP all who are
IN GOD'S NAME


The Spirit comes to us in
Clouds=in winds=and
In tongues of fire


We RECEIVE God's words=
Jesus' word=through the SPIRIT
And IN GOD'S NAME=
It GOES where it will


For the LOVE of our LORD
In Jesus' name
