GOD CARRIED ME






Dear Lord
When I think back
To where I was
When I was 22
I wonder
How I lived this long
I wonder how I got through
Of course deep down dear Lord
I know
It had to be you


Most of my life
I’ve been
Down on my knees
Trying to
Figure out
What I couldn’t see
I shouldn’t have worried
God carried me


God carried me
With his love

With his heart
And as I get ready
For perhaps the end
I don’t have to worry
God
God will carry me


God carried me this far
I know
God will
Bring me home


I can’t stand
The physical pain anymore
I can’t stand
The selfishness of this world
