HARD TO BE A CHRISTIAN


Being a CHRISTIAN=being
A follower of CHRIST
Is a BLESSING


But it is also DIFFICULT=
For we are called
To LOVE as CHRIST LOVED


“........provided you PERSEVERE
In the faith-
Firmly grounded-stable


And not shifting
From the HOPE
Of the Gospel
That you heard.......” Colossians 1:23


There is a lot
Of JOY TOO


Especially in baptism=in confirmation
And in weddings
Plus HEALING when we talk
About our sins
To the Lord


I made a DEATHBED PROMISE
To “LIVE for my family=my friends=
And all people everywhere”


And I have JOY
In my life=
I have FOUND PURPOSE
In my life


But it hasn't been easy=
It is DIFFICULT to try
And LOVE everyone
As Christ did


It is difficult=if
Not IMPOSSIBLE
To love all people
All the time


“Ah=Sovereign Lord
You have made the heavens
And the earth


By your great power
And outstretched arm


NOTHING is
Too HARD for you” Jeremiah 32:17


“Now we ask you
Brothers and sisters


To acknowledge those
Who WORK HARD
Among you


Who care for you
In the Lord
And admonish you” 1 Thessalonians 5:12


Yes it can be
HARD to be a CHRISTIAN


To UNDERSTAND why God
Allows us=and those we love
To FALL ILL


Or why some people
Are HUNGRY=troubled
And oppressed


But when we are Christians
We are in it
For the LONG HAUL


We DON'T GIVE UP
When our BEST laid plans
Seem doomed to failure


We PERSIST in our HOPE
Because Christ persists
In HIS LOVE for us


And God/Jesus gave us
The FRUITS of the SPIRIT


“But the fruit of the Spirit
Is love=JOY=peace=
Forbearance=kindness=
Goodness=faithfulness=
Gentleness and self-control” Galatians 5:22


We PERSIST in our HOPE=
No matter how difficult
That it is=Because Jesus PERSISTS
In HIS LOVE FOR US


Yes=it is HARD
To be a CHRISTIAN
But we are REWARDED
With JOY AND LOVE


In Jesus' name=and in the name=of our EVER LOVING FATHER!
