RELIANCE ON THE LORD


The Corona Virus and the George Floyd
Murder=ARE tragic reminders
Of what can happen
In this UNPREDICTABLE world


And we all FALL
For one reason
Or another=
Our lives are NOT
Under our own CONTROL


We need to be ON GUARD=
We need to be dependent
On our RELIABLE LORD


“........be on YOUR GUARD
Not to be led into the error


Of the unprincipled
And to fall
From your own stability” 2 Peter 3:17


We can FALL
For any number of reasons
In this world


Unforeseen health problems-
Uncertain financial difficulties-
Or failing relationships=
Or any NUMBER of reasons
Not in our control


We need to have
RELIANCE on the Lord=
So he can
See us through


“For I have always been
Mindful of
Your unfailing love


And have lived
IN RELIANCE
Of your faithfulness” Psalm 26:3


“Like a broken tooth
Or a lame foot


IS RELIANCE
On the unfaithful
In a time of trouble” Proverbs 25:19


Christians in every age
Have had to
Withstand the temptation
To blend in
Withe the PREVAILING CULTURE


We need to STRIVE for
CHANGE in this world
And we need to do it
In an open-HONEST WAY


We need to live with
Faith, with joy, and with COURAGE
And to FOLLOW our
RELIABLE Lord Jesus


MANY of the early Christians=
Gave their lives
For the cause=
Like Saints Marcellinus and Peter
Martyrs in 304
And our saints for today


Let us live like
The EARLY CHRISTIANS and
Speak up
For what is RIGHT AND JUST
Following our RELIABLE LORD


“And the things
You have
Heard me say
In the presence
Of many witnesses


Entrust to RELIABLE PEOPLE
Who also
Will be qualified
To teach others” 2 Timothy 2:2


“We also have
The prophetic message
As something completely RELIABLE


And you will do well
To pat attention to it
As a light-
Shining in a dark place.......” 2 Peter 1:19


And so as this world
TRIES to divide us
Let us rally AROUND
OUR RELIABLE LORD


And follow him=so we
Can STAND TALL
As modern 21^st century disciples
RELYING ON THE LORD
