SAVED BY FAITH

 

Today we read a story

About a BLIND BEGGAR

Who has his sight RESTORED

He is SAVED=By his FAITH

 

Similarly=we are SAVED

By our faith in God=

Saved by our faith

IN CHRIST JESUS

 

“Jesus told him

‘Have FAITH=your FAITH

HAS SAVED YOU’”                                                                                                             Luke 18:42

 

Even BEFORE

Jesus restored his sight

 

This blind beggar=

On the road to Jerusalem=

SEES that Jesus is

THE CHRIST

 

He calls Jesus

“SON OF DAVID”

Not once=but twice

 

And AFFIRMS his belief

That Jesus=is the MESSIAH

He is indeed=

SAVED by his FAITH in Jesus

 

How about us?

Do we have that

SAME FAITH in Jesus=

That the blind beggar had?

Do we believe that

Jesus will save us too?

SAVED BY FAITH!

 

“When Jesus heard this=

He was amazed at him

And turning

 

To the crowd=following him

He said=’I tell you

 

I have not found

Such GREAT FAITH

Even in Israel’”                                                                                                               Luke 7:9

 

“Be on your guard

Stand firm=IN THE FAITH

Be courageous=be strong

Do everything in love”                                                                                                     1 Corinthians 16:13

 

“Now FAITH is confidence

In what we hope for=

And assurance-

About what we do not see”                                                                                                   Hebrews 11:1

 

I am confident

I will be SAVED=by my faith

Saved by Christ Jesus

Our Lord!

 

This blind beggar

Takes it =even a step further

Calling Jesus=”LORD”

 

And PROCLAIMS his dominion

And authority=over his life

 

NO WONDER Jesus points out

That it is

The blind man’s FAITH

That saved him=

And it is OUR FAITH

That will save us

SAVED BY=OUR FAITH!

 

“This poor man called

And the Lord=heard him

 

He SAVED him out

Of all his troubles”                                                                                                      Psalm 34:6

 

“Everyone will hate you-

Because of me=but the one

Who stands firm=to the end

WILL BE SAVED”                                                                                                                Mark 13:13

 

WHEN we cry out

To Jesus=in our prayer time

He hears us=just like

He HEARD the blind beggar

 

Like this man=we will be

SAVED BY OUR FAITH

In Christ Jesus

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our EVER FAITHFUL Holy Father God
