THE GIVING OF=OUR WHOLE HEARTS=
TO GOD
Do you ever HESITATE
Before you give=of yourself=
To God?
I WONDER=if the
POOR WIDOW hesitated=
All I know=is
ONCE I give of=my WHOLE SELF
To God and others
I FEEL BETTER!
THE GIVING OF
OUR WHOLE HEARTS=TO GOD
It would have been EASY=for her
To HOLD BACK her coins-
For a “JUST IN CASE” moment
Jesus ADMIRES the poor widow
And he holds her up=AS AN EXAMPLE
Of both trust and GENEROSITY
“He said’=’I tell you truly
This POOR WIDOW-put in more
Than all the rest…….
She=from her poverty
Has offered her=WHOLE LIVELIHOOD’”
Luke 2:3-4
Sometimes it is HARD
To give of=OUR WHOLE SELF=to God
We want=to hold something BACK
For ourselves
We want to hold back
OUR KINDNESS=we want to
Hold back our attention=
We don’t want to
TOTALLY give ourselves away
But that is what JESUS DID
That is what=the poor widow did=
This is what
We are SUPPOSED TO DO
Give ourselves away!
THE GIVING OF
OUR WHOLE HEARTS=TO GOD!
And to all others
“He will see it=
And I will give him
And his descendants
The land=he set his feet on
Because he followed
The Lord WHOLEHEARTEDLY”
Deuteronomy 1:36
“SERVE WHOLEHEARTEDLY=
As if you were serving
The Lord not people
Because you know=that the Lord
Will reward each one
For whatever good they do=
Whether they are slave or free”
Ephesians
6:7
We have to TRUST IN GOD=
We have to trust
That WHATEVER=we give of ourselves
IN WHOLEHEARTED GIVING
Will make a difference
In this world
This poor widow=made a difference
In her wholehearted giving=
Jesus CHANGED the world
With the gift=of his life
TRUST in God and Jesus=
THE GIVING OF
Our whole hearts to God
“What good will it be
For someone=
To gain the whole world=
Yet forfeit their soul?
Or what can anyone give
In exchange=For their soul?” Matthew
16:26
This POOR WIDOW gave her
WHOLE HEART to God
So did Jesus=so SHOULD WE
In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our FOREVER GIVING God=the
Holy Father!
