FINDING INTIMACY IN GOD!
Obviously=we don’t know
EVERYONE in this world
Or even our country=our state
And MAYBE=even
All of our neighbors
But God KNOWS everyone
Of us=in this world=INTIMATELY
He knows all of us
And he knows=EVERYTHING about us
“O Lord…….
With all my WAYS-you are FAMILIAR”
Psalm 139:1;3
The question is
DO WE KNOW GOD?
FINDING INTIMACY IN GOD!
There are those=in our lives
WHO KNOW US=very much
Our family=extended family=
And friends
We NEED PEOPLE
Who SHARE in our experiences
Of life
Who share in our history
People who are FAMILIAR
With our BLESSINGS
And even our shortcomings
Yet=they still like us
Even love us
FINDING INTIMACY
With family and friends=but more importantly
Finding intimacy=with our God
FINDING INTIMACY IN GOD!
“He says
‘Be still=AND KNOW
I am God
I will be exalted=among the nations
I will be exalted=In the earth’”
Psalm
46:10
“Do not boast=about tomorrow
For you=DO NOT KNOW
What a day may bring”
Proverbs 27:1
“I am the good shepherd
I KNOW my sheep=and
My sheep KNOW ME-------
Just as the Father=KNOWS ME
And I KNOW the Father--------
And I lay down=my life
For the sheep”
John 10:14
The AUTHOR of Psalm 139
Knows intimacy=with God
And he wants us
To KNOW that intimacy too
Just as Jesus does
FINDING INTIMACY=IN GOD!
Dear Lord=we pray
You are FAMILIAR
With all of our ways
Help us to BECOME
More familiar=
With your WAYS too Lord
“ALL THE WAYS
Of the Lord=are loving
And faithful
Toward those=
Who keep the demands=of the covenant”
Psalm 25:10
Dear Lord=we THANK YOU
For loving us=DESPITE KNOWING
All of our ways
Help us to become MORE FAMILIAR
With your ways too=as you continue
TO LOVE US
FINING INTIMACY=IN GOD!
In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of OUR ALWAYS LOVING=Holy
