MARY-the BLESSED Mother

 

 

Mary was a woman

Of pure grace

She said yes

When all others

Would have said no

 

She had

The faith in God

To say yes

When all other

Would have said no

 

Today-Mary-on your birthday

We thank you

For your faith

We thank you

For your pure grace

And most of all

 

We thank you

For saying yes

The coming birth of Jesus is foretold by an angel to Mary

 

“How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am

A virgin?”

 

“The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you

And the power of the Most High will overshadow you

 

So the holy one to be born will be called SON OF GOD

Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child

In her old age

And she who was said to barren

Is in her sixth month

 

FOR NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE WITH GOD.”

 

“I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered,

May it be to me as you have said”
