MOVED WITH COMPASSION=FOR OTHERS
Did you EVER NOTCE
How Jesus was moved
WITH COMPASSION and tenderness
For everyone?
Did you ever notice=
How MANY PEOPLE were there
ASKING him for help?
Yet he NEVER said no
He was always there
With/and for them
Offering a HELPING HAND
MOVED WITH COMPASSION=FOR OTHERS
“As he drew near
To the gate of the city=
A man who had DIED
Was being carried out=THE ONLY SON
Of his mother
And she was a WIDOW”
Luke
7:12
Jesus is TOUCHED with compassion
And tenderness
For this woman=for this family
A young man has died
And all that is LEFT
IS HIS MOTHER
Who already=had lost her husband
This was HER ONLY SON
WHEN Jesus encounters the MOTHER
She is IN a sad procession
Fully accompanied by=a large crowd of MOURNERS
He is FULL OF COMPASSION
For this woman
“”Have mercy on me=O God=
According to your unfailing love
According to=YOUR GREAT COMPASSION=
Blot out my transgressions”
Psalm 51:1
“The Lord is good to all=
HE HAS COMPASSION
On all he has made”
Psalm
145:9
“Shout for joy=you heavens
Rejoice=you earth
Burst into song=you mountains
For the Lord
Comforts his people
AND WILL HAVE COMPASSION
On his afflicted ones” Isaiah
49:13
I wonder=if the parallels
WITH JESUS=struck him
A beloved son=an ONLY SON
Was Jesus
THINKING of his very own Mother?
Anyway=Jesus’ heart IS MOVED
WITH COMPASSION
For this sad mother
FOR ALL OTHES=that is the way
Jesus was
Couldn’t we BE
A little more like Jesus
And be moved
MOVED WITH COMPASSION=FOR OTHERS!
“When he saw the crowds
He had=COMPASSION ON THEM
Because they were harassed and helpless
Like sheep=without a shepherd”
Matthew 9:36
Dear Lord=we PRAY
That you OPEN our hearts=to notice
With loving presence=the sorrow
Of others today
MOVED WITH COMPASSION=FOR OTHERS
In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our ever LOVING AND
COMFORTING=Holy Father God!
