HIS MERCY RESCUES US!
As human beings=
We all make mistakes=in other words
We are ALL sinners
In one way=Or another
“I did NOT COME
To call the righteous=BUT SINNERS”
Matthew 9:13
Thank God=we live
In a world with a
MERCIFUL GOD=with a merciful Jesus
Receiving the mercy of Jesus
HIS MERCY RESCUES US!
Sometimes we can think
We are a LITTLE BETTER
Than someone else
But that is NOT
The thoughts=we should have
AS TRUE CHRISTIANS
We are not perfect
We do NOT
Have all the ANSWERS
In today’s GOSPEL
Jesus told us=he is
Not looking for the perfect
For the self-righteous
IF we are sinners
AND I AM=he is looking for us
HIS MERCY RESCUES US!
“When he came=near the den
He called to Daniel
In an anguished voice
‘Daniel=servant of the LIVING GOD
Has your God
Whom you serve continually
Been able=TO RESCUE YOU
From the lions?’”
Daniel 6:20
“……..and to wait
For his Son from heaven-
Whom he raised from the dead-------
Jesus-who RESCUES US
From the coming wrath”
1 Thessalonians 1:10
“……if this is so
Then the Lord knows=how to
RESCUE THE GODLY
From trials=and to hold
The unrighteous for punishment
In the day of judgment”
2 Peter 2:9
It is true-
We are sinners
Jesus sees us=as we are
He KNOWS EVERYTHING
About us
But he is NOT LOOKING
For the perfect=he wants
To give us=HIS MERCY
HIS MERCY RESCUES US!
“BE MERCIFUL=just as
Your Father is MERCIFUL” Luke
6:36
All we have to do
Is TURN towards
Our Father God=turn toward OUR JESUS
AND BE MERCIFUL
To our brothers and sisters
Just as the Lord our God
IS MERCIFUL=towards us
Dear Father God=thank you
For the GIFT=of your SON Jesus
Whose MERCY RESCUES US=and helps us
HIS MERCY RESCUES US!
