DON'T THROW THAT STONE!


Today we read about Jesus=
And his FORGIVENESS
Of the ADULTEROUS WOMAN


The Pharisees said=
“Teacher-this woman-
Was CAUGHT
In the act of adultery


In the Law=
Moses commanded us to
STONE such women=
Now what
Do you say?” John 8:4-5


They were TRYING
To TRAP Jesus=
To have a basis
For accusing him


But Jesus=as always
Had the PERFECT ANSWER=
He said=


“Let the one among you
Who is without sin=
Be the first to
Throw a STONE
At her” John 8:7


And when they heard this
They all slinked away=
UNTIL only Jesus and
The woman were left


STONES HURT=they are sharp=
They can do a
Lot of damage
To a person


We may NEVER throw a stone
But our stones=
OUR VERBAGE
Can CRUSH a person's spirit=
DESTROY a person's morale


Don't throw that stone=
PHYSICALLY or figuratively=
BE MERCIFUL=as our God
THE FATHER=and his Son=Jesus
Are merciful


“For the Lord
Your God=
Is a MERCIFUL GOD


He will not abandon
Or destroy you-
Or forget the covenant


With your ancestors
Which he confirmed
To them by oath” Deuteronomy 4:31


“Blessed are the MERCIFUL
For they
Will be SHOWN MERCY” Matthew 5:7


“BE MERCIFUL
To those who doubt=


Save others by snatching them
From the fire=
To others SHOW MERCY
Mixed with fear--------


Hating even the clothing
Stained by corrupt flesh” Jude :22-23


STONES ARE WEAPONS=they
Are hurtful=so are WORDS=
They can DESTROY
Another human being


Don't use that stone=
SAY those words
In anger
DON”T THROW THAT STONE!


“I will give them
An undivided heart
And put a new spirit
In them


I will remove from them
THEIR HEART OF STONE
And give them
A heart of flesh” Ezekiel 11:19


DON'T THROW that stone=or use
Those WORDS you can
Never stop=or never take back
The HURT they will do


In the names of Jesus=and the TENDER nurturing HEART=of GOD THE FATHER
