OUR MERCIFUL GOD

OUR MERCIFUL GOD


Our God is a
MERCIFUL GOD=who knows
All things


And he is PLEASED
With us=if we are HUMBLE
And act in LOVE=
And in MERCY AND HUMILITY


“Whoever HUMBLES himself
Will be exalted” Matthew 23:12


Did you ever hear of
The phrase=”HUMBLE BRAGGING?”=
It is a WAY
Of BOASTING of our actions
While trying
To SOUND HUMBLE


And it might APPLY
To a person who says
“I ONLY go to MASS
Five days a week”


But fortunately=OUR God is
A MERCIFUL GOD=and he looks
Happily down on us
If we live in HUMILITY


He=the Lord=our Jesus
Is pleased by humility
OUR MERCIFUL GOD!


“When pride comes-
Then comes disgrace
But with HUMILITY
Comes wisdom” Proverbs 11:2


“Do nothing
Out of selfish ambition
Or vain conceit


Rather IN HUMILITY-
Value others
Above yourselves


Not looking
To your own interests
But each of you
To the interests of others” Philippians 2:3-4


“All of you
Clothe yourselves


With HUMILITY toward one another
Because God=opposes the proud
But shows FAVOR
To the HUMBLE” 1 Peter 5:5


In today's reading=
Jesus warns us
About SPIRITUAL PRIDE
Clothed as piety


Humble bragging=SOUND FAMILIAR
Jesus REBUKES the
Spiritual leaders
Of his day
For humble bragging


He rebukes them
For NOT PRACTICING
What they preach


“So you must be careful
To do everything
They tell you


But DO NOT
Do what they do


For they do not practice
WHAT THEY PREACH” Matthew 23:3


POPE FRANCIS says
That spiritual hypocrites
REMOVE themselves
From God's mercy=
Because of their ARROGANCE


But for the REST of us
We serve=
A MERCIFUL GOD


“Blessed are the MERCIFUL
For they-
Will be shown MERCY” Matthew 5:7


MAYBE a good role model
Would be the
GOOD THIEF
On the cross


Always remember=the Lord
Is PLEASED=by your HUMILITY


That is the WAY that it is
When you SERVE
A MERCIFUL GOD
