SEEING THE NEED

SEEING THE NEED


Jesus always saw
The NEEDS of everyone


He fed people=he
HEALED people=he saved
The world


He gave the WORLD=
Whatever it needed
SEEING THE NEED!


“........In Jerusalem........near a pool-
Called in Hebrew-Bethesda........


There lay a large number
Of ill........


One man........had been ill
For 38 years=
When Jesus saw him
Lying there........
He said to him


“Do you want
To be well?”
The sick man
Answered him


“Sir-I have no one
To put me into
The pool
When the water
IS stirred up”” John 5:2, 3, 5-7


This miracle DIFFERS
From most of Jesus' other miracles


Usually=Jesus is
Asked to heal someone=
This time=Jesus INITIATES the contact
And asks the man
IF HE
Wants to be well


SEEING THE NEED=Jesus does


“Do not be
Like them
For your Father knows


WHAT YOU NEED
Before you ask him” Matthew 6:8


“Share with
The Lord's people
Who are IN NEED=
Practice hospitality” Romans 12:13


There must have been
Some expression=or great LONGING
In the man


A message of ENDURING HOPE
That gave Jesus
The opening to say=
“Rise up-
Take up your mat-
AND WALK” John 5:8


The word BETHESDA=
Means house of MERCY=


And Jesus was MERCIFUL=
And saw the GREAT NEED
In this man=
And had him
Stand up and WALK


Feeling the MERCY=
SEEING THE NEED=in him
And in us


“IF anyone
Has material possessions


And sees a brother
Or sister IN NEED
But has no pity
On them


HOW can-
The love of God
Be in that person?” 1 John 3:17


Yes it is up to us
To see the NEEDS of
Our dear brothers and sisters too


Dear Lord=in our times
Of weakness and loneliness =
Please see the NEED in us=
And HELP us too
