FAMILY DAY
We have a father’s day
A mother’s day
A grandparents day
And God knows
What other kinds of day
WHY NOT-A FAMILY DAY
What about a day
Where all people
Can put away their grudges
With their families, their exes, etc.
AWAY-for just one day
I know
We already have Christmas
And I know
I am a bit ideological in my thinking
But what about it?
Would you consider it?
What about a FAMILY DAY for everyone
The following
Is a poem that I wrote about families
I happen to be Catholic/Christian
But my idea
Is for ALL people
Of ALL faiths
WHAT DO YOU THINK?

A family is life
A family is love
A family is God’s Light
Shining on us
From up above
A family is
Loving each other
Even when we don’t like them
A family is
Being kind to each other
When we don’t want to
A family is life
A family is love
A family is GOD’S LIGHT
Shining on us
From up above
A family is accepting each other
Accepting each other for who they are
Not who you want them to be
A family is FORGIVING each other
When they acted in a way
That we don’t understand
Or
When they don’t even try
To lend a hand
A family is life
A family is love
A family is GOD’S LIGHT
Shining on us
From up above

“Honor your father and mother-“
Which is the first commandment with a promise
“That it may go well with you
And that you may enjoy long life on this earth”
Fathers-do not exasperate your children
In stead bring them up
In the training and instruction of the Lord” Ephesians 6:1-4
