FOLLOWING IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF JESUS

 

FOLLOWING IN=THE FOOTSTEPS OF JESUS

I have heard it said=

“The surest way to

Become a SAINT=is

To be kind=be kind= and BE KIND”

I have seen bumper stickers

That read=”KINDNESS IS CONTAGIOUS”

And Jesus was kind=what

More MOTIVATION do we need?

BE KIND=be like Jesus=

FOLLOWING IN the footsteps

Of Jesus

“........and the people there

Were OBSERVING him carefully” Luke 14:1

I WONDER what has

Happened to us as a nation=

I wonder=what has HAPPENED

To us in this world

These REMINDERS of kindness

Should motivate us

To LIVE that way

Faith and kindness are

NOT MEANT to be

Just lived interiorly

They are to be EXPRESSED EXTERIORLY=

In whatever SMALL ways

That we can=

Send someone a CARD=

Tell someone-

That you LOVE THEM=

Give someone a ride=

Make a meal or buy a DINNER

For someone in NEED=

Relative-friend=or even STRANGER

FOLLOWING IN the FOOTSTEPS

Of Jesus

“Yet he

Has not left himself without testimony

He has SHOWN KINDNESS

By giving you rain form heaven-

And crops in their seasons

He provides you

With plenty of food-

And fills your hearts with joy” Acts 14:17

“Consider therefore

The KINDNESS and sternness of God

Sternness to those who fell-

But KINDNESS to you-

Provided that you

Continue in his KINDNESS” Romans 11:22

We are EXPECTED to FOLLOW

In the kindness of Jesus

We are expected to be kind=HONEST=compassionate=

Forgiving=patient=and HOPEFUL

We TRY to act

In those ways=NOT to

Impress anyone

But=because we want to

FOLLOW=IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF JESUS

“When he has

Brought out all his own

He goes on ahead of them-

And his sheep FOLLOW HIM

Because they know his voice” John 10:4

“........Jesus answered='My sheep

Listen to my voice=

I know them

And they FOLLOW ME.........'” John 10:27

People OBSERVED Jesus closely=

They knew what kind of a man

He was

That is WHY so many asked=

And so many were HEALED

WHO is watching us today?

Will they be able to tell=

By our WORDS AND ACTIONS

That we are

FOLLOWERS OF JESUS?

Dear Lord=HELP us to

Be MORE KIND today=

In our words and actions

FOLLOWING IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF JESUS

In Jesus' name=and in the name of our FOREVER LEADING FATHER!
