WE ARE HELD=IN THE LOVE OF GOD

 

WE ARE HELD=IN THE LOVE OF GOD

We live in a TIME

Of a WORLD health crisis=

We live

In a time of

POLITICAL POLARIZATION=in our country

Where one side=and the other side

Are stoked in FEAR AND MISTRUST=

Nevertheless we are all

LOVED BY GOD

We are all held

In the ARMS of God=

We are all held

In the LOVE OF GOD=

Love God=and love your neighbor

“Just as Jonah became

A SIGN to the Ninevites

So shall the Son of Man

BE to this generation” Luke 11:30

Today we read

The story of Jonah

Jonah's story

Is a sign=of the RESURRECTION

It relates to Jonah's ESCAPE

From the whale's belly

In Luke=the sign of Jonah

Means a prophet

Coming from afar

To preach REPENTANCE

It means TURNING from

What is destructive

To what is LIFE-GIVING

And the ARMS OF GOD-

The arms of Jesus

Are certainly LIFE-GIVING=

We are ALL HELD

IN the love of God

LOVE GOD=LOVE ONE ANOTHER

“But be very careful

To keep the commandments-

And the law that Moses-

The servant of the Lord

Gave you

To love the Lord your God-

To walk in obedience-to him

To keep his commands-

To HOLD FAST to him

And to serve him

With all your heart-

And with all your soul” Joshua 22:5

“Yet I am always with you-

YOU HOLD ME

By my right hand” Psalm 73:23

It is NOT EASY

To love someone

We DISAGREE WITH

The only thing that WORKS

Is when

WE PRAY FOR THEM

AND HOLD THEM=as God holds them

In our love

We should pray

That somehow the person

EXPERIENCES God's love too

We are

HELD IN THE LOVE OF GOD

“He(Christ) is before all things

And in him-

All things HOLD TOGETHER” Colossians 1:17

PICTURING that the person

You disagree with=

Is also HELD IN GOD'S LOVE

Lessens the negativity

Dear Lord=we PRAY

That we REALIZE=

We are all HELD IN YOUR LOVE

And that we are ALL=

Loved by you

And that we should

ALL LOVE ONE ANOTHER

IN THE HOLY FATHER'S LOVING ARMS
