NEW LIFE-NEW HOPE!

 

NEW LIFE=HEW HOPE!

 

Today we read about

Jesus being in BETHANY=

Where his dear friends

Have PREPARED dinner for him

 

Martha and Mary are there

As is

Their brother=Lazarus=

WHO is driving the story

 

Jesus RAISED Lazarus

From the dead

And gave him=NEW LIFE

AND NEW HOPE!

As he has done for us

NEW LIFE-NEW HOPE!

 

“……..believing in Jesus BECAUSE OF HIM”                                                                                    John 12:11

 

Lazarus is LOCALLY FAMOUS

Because of the MIRACLE

He received

 

And there was a LARGE CROWD

Of people there

NOT only to see Jesus=

But also to see Lazarus

 

We may not be famous

But we have=received

That SAME=second hope and life

That Lazarus received=

Jesus’ RESURRECTION=has done that=for us

 

We have a SECOND CHANCE

At life-at hope

Because of Jesus

NEW LIFE-NEW HOPE!

 

“The day is coming’

Declares the Lord

 

‘When I will make

A NEW COVENANT

With the people=Of Israel

With the people of Judah’”                                                                                                 Jeremiah 31:31

 

“Jesus took the cup saying

‘This cup

 

Is the NEW COVENANT

In my blood=which is

Poured out for you’”                                                                                                                Luke 22:20

 

In today’ story

We LEARN=that the chief priests

Are plotting to kill Jesus

And also Lazarus

 

Because so many

Of the Jewish people

Were coming to BELIEVE

In Jesus=because of Lazarus

 

He was EVANGELIZING=

With his life=Lazarus was

We all want

NEW HOPE-NEW LIFE!

 

“Yet I am writing you

A NEW COMMAND=

 

Its truth=is seen=in him

And in you

Because the darkness-is passing

And the true light

Is already shining”                                                                                                                             1 John 2:8

 

Lazarus’ witness is PROFOUND

Because he had NEW LIFE

 

He had been TRANSFORMED

Rekindled-and invigorated

BOTH physically and spiritually

 

He found that=NEW LIFE

NEW HOPE!

That we are all-looking for

 

Lazarus’ whole being

Is proclaiming

NEWNESS in the Lord

 

HOW about you and

How about me=Are we PROCLAIMING

OUR NEWNESS in the Lord

This Lent?

 

By our mere PRESENCE-

We should be saying

God is NUMBER ONE

In my life

NEW LIFE-NEW HOPE!

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our FOREVER LIVING=Holy Father God!
