THE INFINITE GREATNESS-----of our GOD
Prayer is pretty easy-
At first=it is just
OPENING OURSELVES up
To the Lord
We just sit
In the PRESENCE of God
In our communities
And open up
But eventually we come
To understand
HIS INFINITE GREATNESS
And realize=we are NOTHING
Before our Lord
THE INFINITE GREATNESS-----
Of our God!
“Christ Jesus-------emptied himself
Taking the form
Of a slave…….”
Philippians
2:6-7
I think we ALL
Have to understand
That when we FACE
Our God=we will
Be nothing=
And he will=BE EVERYTHING
Just like Jesus-
But he was God too
Are you willing
TO EXPERIENCE NOTHINGNESS
To face our God
You will=I will
We all will
“For forty years-
You sustained them
In the wilderness=THEY LACKED NOTHING
Their clothes-
Did not wear out-
Nor did their feet=become swollen”
Nehemiah 9:21
“Ah-Sovereign Lord-
You have made=the heavens
And the earth
By your great power
And outstretched arm=
NOTHING is too hard for you”
Jeremiah 32:17
“I am the vine-
You are the branches
You remain in me
And I in you=you
Will bear much fruit
Apart from me=you
CAN DO NOTHING”
John 15:5
Isn’t that the TRUTH-
THE INFINITE GREATNESS-----
Of our God!
When we FACE
Our nothingness=before the Lord
We have a CHOICE
To run from it
Or ACCEPT IT
And empty ourselves
For the Lord=JUST LIKE JESUS
Accept it=TRUST GOD
Experience his greatness
HE CAN DO-----in you
What you could never do yourself
“Great is the Lord
And most worthy
Of praise
HIS GREATNESS-----
No one can fathom”
Psalm 145:3
On Calvary=
Jesus is stripped of everything=
ALL of our prayers
And our HOPES=are nailed
With him=on the cross
THE INFINITE GREATNESS=OF OUR GOD!
In Jesus’ name=and the EVERLASTING NAME=of our HOLY FATHER
God!
