WE LIVE ON!
Some trees=Like giant sequoia
LIVE for
Thousands of years
But they have
NOTHING ON US
IF we live in and for
Our Jesus-
We live FOREVER in him
WE LIVE ON!
“Let us destroy
THE TREE-in its vigor” Jeremiah
11:19
It is SAD to see
Trees cut up
By chain saws=for whatever reason
The prophet Jeremiah
USED this
Powerful image=of a tree
To describe=what his enemies
Wanted to do to him
They want to
“CUT him off
From the
Land of the living”
For in the gospel
Of John today
We see
That the chief priests
And the Pharisees
Want to
“Destroy the TREE
In its vigor”
But those of us
LIVING in God
The Holy Father=
And in=the LOVE
Of his Son-Jesus Christ
Live on
WE LIVE ON!
Like the TREE OF LIFE
“The Lord God
Made all kinds
OF TREES=grow
Out of the ground--------
In the middle
Of the garden=were
The TREE OF LIFE
And the TREE
Of the knowledge=
Of good and evil”
Genesis 2:9
Yes=those that WANTED
To destroy=the TREES OF LIFE
The TREE=of all good
Were surprised
By the MOST surprising
Reversal of all
The TRIUMPH of Jesus
In the Resurrection!
WE LIVE ON!
When we CONNECT=with Jesus Christ
“That person
Is like a TREE
Planted by=streams of water
Which yields its fruit
In season
And whose leaf=does not wither-------
Whatever they do prospers”
Psalm 1:3
Yes=when we LIVE
In Jesus=who is
THE TREE OF LIFE
We CONFOUND our enemies-
The devil is foiled
And we=ARE REDEEMED
Dear Lord=we PRAY
Let us LIVE ON
In you=and in
OUR HOLY FATHER GOD!
In Jesus’ name=WE LIVE ON!
