BRING IT ON HOME=TO ME

 

Last week(while on vacation)=I was sitting there

TALKING to my sister Terri’s boyfriend=Mike=We

Were SPECIFICALLY talking about 70’s music=the

EAGLES=and what a TALENT=Dave Mason was=and is

 

BY COINCIDENCE=(There are NO COINCIDENCES=

With God)=as we were watching=”THIS IS US”=the song

“BRING IT ON HOME TO ME”=was being sung

 

BRING IT ON HOME=TO ME=was written and RECORDED

In 1962=by Sam Cooke=and rerecorded by COUNTLESS OTHERS=

ONE of whom was Dave Mason in 1974=DON’T KNOW who for sure

Was SINGING the song=this particular night=but

I could not HELP but think= of Dave Mason=At one time=

He was my favorite artist=Maybe he still is

 

As I face=the TWILIGHT years=( I will BE 70=

Next January)=God willing=it brought back to me=MY

Deathbed promise=”TO LIVE=for my family=my friends=

And FOR ALL PEOPLE EVERYWHERE”

 

I HOPE to TOUCH=all of you=IN

Whatever good way that I can=through the years

Of my life=And I HOPE to be a BLESSING=and a witness

For God= for my family and friends=and FOR ALL PEOPLE

Everywhere=BRING IT ON HOME TO ME!

 

“IMPRESS them(The commandments)=on your children=

Talk about them=WHEN you sit at HOME=and when

You walk=Along the road=when you lie down=and

When you get up”                                                                                                                                      Deuteronomy 6:7

 

“Even the sparrow has=FOUND A HOME

And the swallow=a nest for itself=where she

May have her young=a place=near  your altar”                                                                          Psalm 84:3

 

“The Lord’s curse=is on=The house of=

The wicked=but he=BLESSES THE HOME=of

The righteous”                                                                                                                                                Proverbs 3:33

 

As I APPROACH 70 years young=I

Cannot help but think=how VERY BLESSED

That I am

 

To have spent the YEARS=with my parents

To have BEEN with them=PRAYING THE ROSARY=as

Each of them were=PASSING away at HOME

 

To have spent ALL of these years=with my family

MY SISTERS=and my extended family=and friends

BRING IT ON HOME TO ME=How BLESSED

That I am

 

“AFTER I looked things over=I stood up

And said to the nobles=the officials=and the

Rest of the people=

 

‘Don’t be afraid of them=REMEMBER the Lord

Who is great and awesome=and fight

FOR YOUR FAMILIES=your sons and

Your daughters=your wives=AND YOUR HOMES’”                                                               Nehemiah 4:14

 

“So I counsel=younger widows=to marry=

To have children=and to give the enemy

No opportunity for slander”                                                                                                   1 Timothy 5:14

 

And so my dear Holy Father God and Jesus=my

DEAR FAMILY AND FRIENDS=I thank you ALL=for

YOUR GIFT of time=that you have given me=

THE GIFT OF LIFE=and having these WORDS OF GOD

And experiences with you

OUR GOD is a great God=and a God=who

KEEPS HIS PROMISES

 

I INTEND to carry this PROMISE forward=for

AS LONG as I am BLESSED=and Can=For our        

Holy Father God and Jesus=my FAMILY and friends=and

For all people everywhere

BRING IT ON HOME TO ME!

 

In Jesus’ name=and IN the name=of our FOREVER LIVING=forever loving Holy Father God!

And their WORDS OF LIFE!
