We are getting CLOSER AND CLOSER=in fact

We are=Just a WEEK AWAY=today is PALM SUNDAY

 

Did you KNOW=that palm trees=get its name=

From the way=THE BRANCHES open up=They

RESEMBLE the human hand=so MAYBE with that

We should think=THIS PALM SUNDAY=IT

IS UP TO US=to CARRY it on=to bring

Jesus’ MESSAGE=forward into the world

 

“HOSANNA!=BLESSED is he=who comes in

THE NAME=of the Lord”                                                                                                                     Mark 11:9

 

Today=the PEOPLE of God=are RECOGNIZING Jesus

But in only one week=They will be putting him

TO DEATH=How FICKLE we are as a people

 

HOW will we USE our palms=this Holy week?

How will we USE our hands=in the coming days?=Maybe

Like Jesus=to comfort=to console=to GIVE HOPE

To others=LIKE our living God?

 

IT IS=UP TO US=to CARRY

Jesus’ message forward=in today’s world

IT IS=UP TO US=to get the job done=To

CARRY IT ON=what all our Jesus BEGAN

 

“You yourselves=have seen=what I did to Egypt=and

How I CARRIED YOU=on eagles’ wings=and

Brought you=to myself”                                                                                                                Exodus 19:4

 

“He tends his flock=Like a shepherd=He

Gathers the lambs=in his arms=and CARRIES THEM

Close=to his heart=He gently leads those

Who have young”                                                                                                                                 Isaiah 40:11

 

PALM SUNDAY=can be=a very CHALLENGING TIME

For us=the gospel is very long=and it is SO CROWDED

In the churches=but it was=A MOST CHALLENGING

Time=for our Jesus too=He KNEW what was coming

That week=He knew=that the SINS of the world

Was on his shoulders=He knew the SUFFERING that

He was facing=but he DID THE JOB ANYWAY

 

The apostles and saints=and the Catholic and

Christian churches=have CONTINUED this mission

But it is=UP TO US!=to get the job done too

TO CARRY it on=it is UP TO US!

 

“And whoever=DOES NOT CARRY=their cross

And follow me=Cannot be my disciple”                                                                                 Luke 14:27

 

“CARRY each other’s burdens=and in this way

You will fulfill=the law of Christ”                                                                                             Galatians 6:2

 

“For prophecy=Never had its origin-in

The human will=but prophets=though human=

Spoke from God=As they were CARRIED along

By the Holy Spirit”                                                                                                                           2 Peter 1:21

 

That is our CHALLENGE=my dear brothers and sisters

To FOLLLOW the Holy Father God and Jesus=this

Holy week=as the Holy Spirit=helps us to PREPARE

 

TO CARRY ON Jesus’ teachings=even further

In today’s world=IT IS=UP TO US=the 21^st century

Modern day followers of Jesus=to HELP get the

JOB done=in this world=TO CARRY IT ON!

 

IN the names of Jesus=and our EVER LIVING= ever loving=EVER PREPARING

Holy Father God!
