WHAT A WONDROUS LOVE

 

Jesus’ RESURRECTION=gives deep and

EVERLASTING MEANING=to the dark events that

Are about ho happen=WHAT A WONDROUS LOVE!=

This is=that even DEATH cannot hold him

 

As we CONTEMPLATE=the events of the

NEXT THREE DAYS=we should show IMMENSE GRATITUDE=

For THE WONDROUS LOVE=for this spectacular love=

That can OVERCOME DARKNES=even death itself=

OVERCOMING the darkest day=of human history

 

“Do this=in REMEMBRANCE OF ME”                                                                           1 Corinthians 11:24

 

Today we have the farewell MEAL=with Jesus

And the apostles=HE gave us his body and blood=

To be POURED OUT for us=for all humankind=

For ALL LIVING THINGS=for all of us

 

“While they were eating=Jesus took bread

And when he had given thanks=He broke it

Gave it to his disciples=saying

‘Take and eat=this is MY BODY’”                                                                                                 Matthew 26:26

 

“Then he took a cup=and when he had=

Given thanks=he gave it to them=Saying=

 

‘DRINK from it=all of you=This is my blood

Of the COVENANT=which is poured out for many=

For the forgiveness of sins’”                                                                                                           Matthew 26:27-28

 

The EVENTS=which are to come=IN the

Next few days=bring to the CENTRAL CORE=of

Who Jesus is=the IDENTITY of Jesus=HE IS LIFE!

Never stop remembering=what he is=about to do what

HE IS=doing it ALL for you/me/us

What Wondrous life=WHAT WONDROUS LOVE!=Jesus

Has for us

 

“Listen to this Job=stop and consider

GOD’S WONDERS”                                                                                                                           Job 37:14

 

“Show me=THE WONDERS=of your great LOVE=

You who save=by your right hand=Those who take refuge=

In you from their foes”                                                                                                                         Psalm 17:7

 

“Praise be to=the Lord=for he showed me

THE WONDERS=of his love=when I was in

A city under siege”                                                                                                                           Psalm 31:21

 

Then after dinner=at THE LAST SUPPER=Jesus gives us

Another ORDINARY lesson=of a SERVANT’S LOVE=and he tells

Us=to be servants too=He NEVER asks us to do anything

He does not do himself

 

The master=OUR MASTER OF LOVE=bends down

LOW=and washes the feet=of all his disciples

 

What HUMILITY=Jesus shows us=what a

WONDROUS LOVE!=he has for us=Can we show this

HUMILITY=for our brothers and sisters in this world?

“REMEMBER ME……..”

 

“I will show=WONDERS in=the heavens above

And signs=on the earth below…….”                                                                                        Acts 2:19

 

“Not so with you=Instead whoever wants to become=

Great among you=must be=YOUR SERVANT”                                                                       Matthew 20:26

 

WHAT A WONDROUS LOVE!=my dear

Brothers and sisters=that Jesus had for us=FOLLOW

His example=of love

 

WHEN you have your dinner=this Holy Thursday=

Remember Jesus=and WHAT A WONDROUS LOVE=he

Has for you
