THE CRUSHED AND BROKENHEARTED?=
(Our Lord=Our God=DOES NOT FORGET US)
So MANY of us=have BEEN CRUSHED=have
Become BROKEN HEARTED=by the TRAPPINGS
Of this life=in the LAST few years=I
Am NO DIFFERENT!
We have had HEALTH SETBACKS=We have had
Financial breakdowns=and we have had
RELATIONSHIPS DISSOLVE=I have to tell you
IN ADDITION=to all of that
I have had SEVERE CRUSHING ABDOMINAL PAIN
On both sides of my stomach=since I am 22=The
ONE CONSOLATION that we have is=IS that Our God=
Our Lord Jesus=DOES NOT FORGET US in
Our trying times=Our Lord=LOVES THE BROKENHEARTED!
“The Lord is CLOSE=to THE BROKENHEARTED=and those
WHO ARE CRUSHED= in spirit=he saves”
Psalm 34:19
Yes=a LOT of the people=with CRUSHED SPIRITS
In this world=we do NOT NOTICE=They CARRY themselves
So very well=they KNOW=the Lord LOVES THEM
Despite being=CRUSHED AND BROKENHEARTED
They know=the LORD STAYS with them=THROUGH
The difficult times=and helps them=They know
The Lord=LOVES THEM=and Does NOT FORGET THEM
“But he was pierced=for our transgressions=he
Was CRUSHED=for our iniquities=the punishment
That brought us=PEACE was on him=and by his wounds
We are healed” Isaiah
53:5
“But we have this treasure=in jars of clay
To show=that this all-surpassing POWER is from God
And not from us
We are hard pressed=on every side=BUT NOT CRUSHED
Perplexed=but not in despair=persecuted=but
Not abandoned=struck down=but not destroyed”
2 Corinthians 4:7-9
YES GOD=and our Lord Jesus Christ=KNOW
Our sufferings all too well=He BORE it all for us
UP on Calvary Hill=He was CRUSHED and broken
He was crushed=that humanity=TURNED ITS BACK
On him
He was crushed PHYSICALLY=by the Roman soldiers
And he was BROKENHEARTED=because even
HIS CLOSEST FRIENDS=all ran away
Yes our GOD IS AWARE=of our pain=He
DOES NOT FORGET=he does not run away
From us=He STAYS CLOSE=to the crushed
He stays close to the BROKENHEARTED=He
Stays close=to the SO-CALLED OUTCASTS
Of this world=of this life=The Lord is
CLOSE TO=the crushed and broken hearted
“The Lord=build up Jerusalem=He gathers
The exiles=of Israel=he heals the BROKENHEARTED
And binds up their wounds”
Psalm 147:3
“The Spirit=of the Sovereign Lord=is on me
Because the Lord=has anointed me=to proclaim
To the poor=He has sent me to= bind up
THE BROKENHEARTED”
Isaiah 61:1
So my=BROTHERS AND SISTERS=you should FOLLOW
Our God’s example=and say yes and
help=THE CRUSHED
AND BROKENHEARTED in spirit=of
this world=IF we do this
We will=STAND WITH JESUS=AFTER HIS
RESURRECTION
In Jesus’ name=and in the name=OF
OUR Holy Father God=who LOVES
All of us=ESPECIALLY the crushed
and brokenhearted=like us
