JOYS AND SORROWS

 

JOYS AND SORROWS

 

MANY things happen to us=in this life=WE

Have been truly FILLED with=JOYS AND SORROWS

And ALL kinds of moments=in between=EVEN

Jesus’ life=was filled with=JOYS AND SORROWS

 

“……..Jesus was DEEPLY TROUBLED”                                                                                         John 13:21

 

Many people CAME to Jesus=for HELP=They

Wanted healing=for the blind=for the crippled=

For the sick=I IMAGINE=this was a SOURCE of great JOY

For Jesus=For him to BE NEEDED in lives like this

 

Then there were those TIMES=when someone

Needed a HEALING because of a death=and those times

Like with Lazarus=that he brought someone back

All of this HELP Jesus gave=had to be sources of JOY

For him=as well as others

 

Then there were those times=WHEN Jesus needed help

Of his own=KNOWING the SORROW that he would face

When ALL people would reject him=WHAT SORROW

He must have felt=KNOWING he would be

FACING thorns=whips and nails=and a blood-

Stained cross=The JOYS AND SORROWS of Jesus=and

The joys and sorrows of our lives=Let us all

WALK CALVARY HILL=with him=on our journey

To salvation=this Holy week

 

“……..as the time=When the Jews got relief=from

Their enemies=and as the month=WHEN THEIR SORROW=

Was turned into JOY=and their mourning into

A day of celebration”                                                                                                                                    Esther 9:22

 

“Then I will go=to the altar of God=MY JOY

And my delight=I will praise you with the lyre=

O God=My God”                                                                                                                                         Psalm 43:4

 

“They will enter Zion=with singing=EVERLASTING JOY

Will crown their heads=Gladness and JOY will

Crown their heads”                                                                                                                                        Isaiah 35:10

 

So many joys=in my life=SO MUCH SUFFERING=

Probably IN your life too=This Holy week=let us RELIVE

The highs and lows=of our LIVES=as he(Jesus) faces

HIS TOTAL SORROWS

 

When we EXPERIENCE=difficult and PAINFUL MOMENTS

In our lives=We IMAGINE others are HAPPIER=than we are

And NOT EXPERIENCING the sufferings that we are

That Jesus is=THIS VERY WEEK

 

“Now if we are children=then we are heirs--------heirs

Of God=and Co-heirs with Christ=if indeed we share

IN HIS SUFFERINGS=in order that we may=also share

In his glory”                                                                                                                                                 Romans 4:17

 

“For just as we share=Abundantly in=THE SUFFERINGS

Of Christ=so also our comfort abounds through Christ”                                                       2 Corinthians 1:5

 

“So do not be ashamed=of the testimony=about

Our Lord=or me=his prisoner=Rather join with me

IN SUFFERING=for the gospel=by the POWER

Of God”                                                                                                                                              2 Timothy 1:8

 

Jesus GAVE his life=for the GOSPEL=He died

FOR LOVE=for his Holy Father God=and for

ALL OF US=We should live our lives=for the gospel too

And whatever JOY AND SUFFERINGS=comes along

With it

 

IN the name=of Jesus our LORD=this Holy week=and our ever loving

EVER LIVING=ever enduring=Holy Father God!
