MISSING THE POINT!=

(Blinded by the=LIGHT OF GOD)

 

The PEOPLES of yesteryear=the Pharisees

For example=Read the SCRIPTURES so very much

They knew them=but they DID NOT LIVE THEM=They

Needed to be better=as we do today=

I sometimes WONDER

If we haven’t become like them=WE the people

Of the 21^st century=Don’t live the SCRIPTURES any more

Than the people of yesteryear did

 

They=MISSED THE POINT=and we=the people

Of today are=MISSING THE POINT too=we are

BLINDED by=The LIGHT of our God

 

“How can you believe=when you ACCEPT PRAISE

From one=and do not seek the praise=that comes

FROM THE ONLY GOD?”                                                                                                                 John 5:44

 

It is ONE thing=to read the Scriptures=It is

Another thing to KNOW THEM=and it is

STILL another thing=TO LIVE THE SCRIPTURES

To love God=ABOVE all else=and to

LOVE OUR NEIGHBOR=as ourselves

 

The Pharisees=knew the LAW=OF MOSES

They knew the TEN COMMANDMENTS=but

They were so SURE=of their salvation=they

COULD NOT see Jesus=for who he was

THE LIGHT OF GOD=standing right in FRONT

Of them

 

They were=MISSING THE POINT=of OUR GOD’S LOVE

They were=BLINDED BY THE LIGHT=as

We are today=IF we weren’t=we would NOT

Have the world and country=that we have

 

“For whoever=keeps the whole law=and

Yet stumbles at just one POINT=is guilty of

Breaking all of it”                                                                                                                               James 2:10

 

We should have PITY=on the Pharisees=for

They were BLINDED=by God’s light=We

Should pity ourselves too=for so are we=

WE WANT=to understand God=on HUMAN TERMS

They did too=but that is NEVER going to happen

For all of us=Have MISSED THE POINT

Of God’s love

MISSING THE POINT!=BLINDED by

The LIGHT OF GOD

 

“leave them=they are BLIND GUIDES=If

THE BLIND=lead the blind=both will fall into

A pit”                                                                                                                                                Matthew 15:14

 

“Woe to you=BLIND GUIDES!=you say’=

‘If anyone=swears by the temple=it means nothing

But anyone=who swears=by the gold=of the temple

Is bound=by the oath’”                                                                                                                         Matthew 23:16

 

“He replied=’Whether he is a sinner=or not=

I do not know=One thing I do know=I was BLIND

But now I see”                                                                                                                               John 9:25

 

We WONDER=how bad things=Happen to

Good people=and why good things happen to

Bad people and WHY=when we pray=we

Don’t always get what we want=I sometimes

WONDER why things are this way myself

 

I don’t know the ANSWER=but I do KNOW

The people of YESTERYEAR=MISSED THE POINT=on God

They were BLINDED BY GOD’S LIGHT=and we

ARE the same=in our country and world today

 

Dear Lord=WE PRAY=that we as a world

And a country=TURN OUR HEARTS=back to you

For we have=MISSED THE POINT TOO=in our world today

ON YOUR LOVE=we have become

BLINDED BY YOUR LIGHT

 

Let us FULLY UNDERSTAND=how much you LOVE

Each one of us=and love you back=and get back

TO YOUR LOVE IN THIS WORLD

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our FOREVER LIVING=forever loving Holy Father God=the

TRUE LIGHTS OF OUR WORLD!
