LOVING AND FORGIVING


I think the ENTIRE ESSENCE
Of the NEW TESTAMENT
CAN be summed up


In LOVING GOD more than
Anything else
And LOVING your neighbor as yourself
And forgiving 70 X 7


As well as LIVING the BEATITUDES
From Jesus' SERMON ON THE MOUNT


If you can INCORPORATE
All of this into your life
You are living a WONDERFUL life
BASED on the TEACHINGS of Christ


“Should you not have pity
On your fellow servant
As I had pity on you?” Matthew 18:33


In other words-FORGIVE OTHERS
As you expect to be forgiven


“FORGIVE us our trespasses
As we forgive those
Who trespass against us”


If this were your
ONLY PRAYER this Lent-
And you lived up to it-
As Christ did-
It would be enough


For we are sinners
The SAME as someone else-
A fact that is easy
For us to FORGET


Live the GOLDEN RULE
Treat others the WAY
That you want others to treat you
And the way
That you want
God to treat you


LOVING & FORGIVING


PITY others who need HELP
“He will take pity
On the weak
And the needy


And SAVE the needy
From death” Psalm 72:13


“IF either of them
FALLS down
One can HELP
The other up


But pity anyone who falls
And has no one
To help them up” Ecclesiastes 4:10


BE THERE for your brothers
And sisters
READY to help them up
(A PRAYER we say every week BEFORE BIBLE STUDY)


“But a SAMARITAN
As he traveled


Came where
The man was
And WHEN he saw him


He took pity on him” Luke 10:33


KEEP your hearts
LOVING & FORGIVING toward others
As Christ did- as
The good SAMARITAN did


For GOD LOVES YOU-
Just as you ARE


The trick is=to do the SAME
For others


Dear Lord of LOVE & FORGIVENESS
HELP US to be MORE like you
