MAKE YOURSELF AVAILABLE TO ALL
MAKE YOURSELF AVAILABLE TO ALL
We all KNOW the second commandment:
“LOVE your NEIGHBOR as yourself” Matthew 22:39
And that is just an EXTENSION
Of the first commandment:
“LOVE the Lord with ALL your heart-
With all your soul-and all your MIND” Matthew 22:37
In other words=love your NEIGHBOR
With ALL you've got
“You are NOT FAR
From the Kingdom of God” Mark 12:34
I live in a condo-with a LOT
Of GREAT neighbors all around
Me-
But I have to admit-some of them-
Haven't quite got into that
“LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR as yourself,”
Kind of thinking just yet
But that doesn't CHANGE my philosophy-
OUR philosophy-the Christian philosophy-
LOVE & FORGIVE everyone with ALL you have
MAKE YOURSELF
AVAILABLE TO ALL
I am loving my neighbor
I am loving ALL
How ELSE will anyone know
The nearness of GOD'S KINGDOM
IF I don't
LIVE THE LIFE
If I am
Not the EXAMPLE
God intended me to be
Let your neighbor
SEE the Kingdom of God
By letting them see
The example of God and Jesus in you
“........
Whose tongue
Utters no slander
Who does NO WRONG
To a neighbor
And casts no slurs
On others” Psalm 15:3
Love your neighbor
Make yourself AVAILABLE
To all
The thing is
We need to SHOW
More COMPASSION
NOT just to the ones
Who live near us
For the Kingdom of God
Is an IMMENSE neighborhood
It has NO FENCES
The KINGDOM OF GOD
Is FORGIVENESS and LOVE
And it should be EXTENDED
To all-to EVERYONE
Show love-kindness-forgiveness-
To ALL in God's kingdom
LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR
Make yourself-available to all
In the KINGDOM OF GOD
“From that time on
Jesus BEGAN to preach,
'Repent-for the kingdom of heaven
Has come NEAR'” Matthew 4:17
YES!-the KINGDOM OF GOD-is
As near as your front door-
And as near-as
Your neighbor's front door
“For the kingdom of God
Is NOT a matter
Of eating and drinking
But of righteousness-peace-
And JOY in the HOLY SPIRIT
Because anyone who SERVES Christ
In this way
Is PLEASING to God
And RECEIVES human approval” Romans 14:17-18
Dear Lord-HELP US to know
That your KINGDOM encompasses all
As we live in FAITH-
And drop our selfishness and prejudices
And LOVE our NEIGHBOR-
As we MAKE OURSELVES
AVAILABLE TO ALL
