Sometimes MISFORTUNE strikes
Our lives-and we always
FEEL like we NEED to
Know why


SOMETIMES-like me-you get
A chronic illness-you have
An illness that
ALMOST takes your life


WHAT did I do wrong
To deserve it? What did
You do to deserve
The MISFORTUNE of your life?


NOTHING-of course not-but I do OWN IT
I do TAKE RESPONSIBILITY for my life-
And I do the BEST
That I can-I am SURE
That you do too


“Jesus answered,
'NEITHER he nor his parents sinned;
It is so that
The WORKS OF GOD
Might be made VISIBLE
Through him'” John 9:3


We want a TIDY ANSWER
When bad things happen
In this life


We want to know-”WHY”
Why did God let this HAPPEN?


But life happens-things-
Go wrong-in my case-
I think it WAS for me
To LIVE A LIFE of FAITH
To be an EXAMPLE of
FAITH IN ACTION


Maybe God wants us
To TAKE RESPONSIBILITY
For our life


Maybe God wants to
WORK THROUGH US-and make
His works VISIBLE


OWN IT


Take RESPONSIBILITY for your life
Let God's work
BE VISIBLE in you


FAITH in action


“The Levites
Are to be RESPONSIBLE
For the care
Of the tabernacle
Of the covenant law” Numbers 1:53


“Brothers and sisters
Each person-as RESPONSIBLE to God


Should remain
In the situation
They were in
WHEN God called them” 1 Corinthians 7:24


WATCH for God
In ANY situation
GOD'S HAND always appears


God's hand is ALWAYS VISIBLE
In the tragedy of misfortune


You can SEE him in
Rescue workers-doctors and nurses-
And in FAMILY and friends


And anywhere
There is a MIRACLE


“But everything EXPOSED
By the light-
Becomes VISIBLE---


And everything that is illuminated
BECOMES a LIGHT” Ephesians 5:13


TAKE RESPONSIBILITY for your life-
NO ONE is to blame


Let the MIRACLE of God
Become VISIBLE-it is in misfortune-
That GOD'S LIGHT & WORK
Really SHINES
