LISTENING WITH OUR HEART


Today we read about
Caiaphas=the high priest=ONE
Of the men=leading the PLOT
To kill Jesus


You WONDER if he was listening
To God the FATHER=you wonder
IF he was listening to GOD
IN HIS HEART


I know he wasn't=and I
Just want to SCREAM at him=
“DON'T you know who
You are TORTURING=
Don't you know that that
Is JESUS=
And that he was SENT
By God the Father=
YOUR Father and mine”


“........he prophesied that Jesus
Was going to die
For the nation........


So from that day on-
They PLANNED to kill him” John 11:51, 53


Caiaphas KNEW that Jesus
Was performing miracles
I think=in his HEART
He knew
Who Jesus was


But Caiaphas SUFFOCATED the message
From his heart=and unfortunately
We too=don't always
Listen to what is RIGHT=
To what is COMING
From our hearts


“The way of fools
Seem right to them


But the wise
LISTEN to my advice” Proverbs 12:15


“And whether they LISTEN
Or FAIL to listen---------
For they


Are a rebellious people
They will know
That a prophet
Has been AMONG THEM” Ezekiel 2:5


“Then a cloud appeared
And covered them
And a voice
Came from the cloud--------


'This is my SON
Whom I love
LISTEN to him!'” Mark 9:7


We too=OFTEN don't listen
To our hearts


We go to MASS or to SERVICE on
OUR CHRISTIAN SUNDAYS=
We listen to the gospel-
And GOD'S WORD


Then we CUT the
Other drivers off
In the parking lot


Or we lie and or GOSSIP
About our CHRISTIAN brothers
And sisters


We LOVE OUR Jesus=
But we BETRAY him=when
We FAIL to treat our
Brothers and sisters with LOVE


Dear Lord=Easter is coming=
We ask you for the STRENGTH
To act out=
What we are HEARING our hearts


“The Sovereign Lord
Is my STRENGTH-
He makes my feet
Like the feet
Of a deer


He enables me
To tread on the heights” Habakkuk 3:19


“I can do all things
Through him
Who GIVES ME STRENGTH” Philippians 4:13


Dear Lord=HOLY WEEK
Is next week


Help us to LISTEN to
You=and how you are
SPEAKING to us
In our HEARTS


Give us the STRENGTH to
NEVER betray you


In Jesus' name and in the name=of our STRONG=LOVING FATHER
