RESPONDING WITH NONVIOLENT LOVE

RESPONDING WITH NONVIOLENT LOVE

Misunderstanding and persecution have
ALWAYS been part
Of the human experience

And for SURE=Jesus did
NOT AVOID that part
Of the human experience

“PRAISE the Lord
For he has

RESCUED the life
Of the poor
From the power
Of the wicked” Jeremiah 20:13

LIVING a life
Of trying to pursue
PEACE and JUSTICE=and
Speaking the truth
Can LEAD TO all types
Of MISUNDERSTANDING

That is what Jesus did
In a NONVIOLENT WAY
That is
What we are to do too

CHOOSE the PEACEFUL WAY
OF LOVE

“........for kings-
And ALL those in authority
That we may live PEACEFUL
And quiet lives

In all godliness
And holiness” 1 Timothy 2:2

“........to slander NO ONE
To be PEACEABLE
And considerate

And always to be GENTLE
Toward everyone” Titus 3:2

“PEACEMAKERS who sow
In PEACE

Reap a harvest
Of righteousness” James 3:18

It is COSTLY
To pursue peace and justice
And SPEAK the truth

People may avoid us
Or call us names
And SOME may even
LOSE their lives

But JESUS taught us the way=
The way of RESPONDING
With nonviolent LOVE

“He will RESPOND
To the prayer
Of the destitute

He will
NOT despise their plea” Psalm 102:17

“In that day
I will RESPOND
Declares the Lord

I will RESPOND
To the skies
And they will RESPOND
To the earth” Hosea 2:21

YES=Jesus shows us
THE WAY=the way of
Responding in NONVIOLENT LOVE

When the crowds
Want to STONE HIM
Jesus responds

With thoughtful questions
And points out
WHAT MATTERS

He escapes=moves on
And LOVES MORE and more=
Even at the COST
Of his own life

Dear Lord=we THANK YOU
For your love

And we ASK YOU-
To help us IMITATE
Your faithful Son=and

RESPOND to persecution
WITH NONVIOLENT LOVE

In Jesus name=and in the name=of our HOLY LOVING FATHER!
