NAME CHANGES=can
Have great meaning=
Today we read about


God CHANGING Abram's name=
To Abraham=to be
The FATHER
Of many nations


“No longer shall you
Be called Abram=
Your name
Shall be Abraham........” Genesis 17:5


Abram's name change
SEEMS so small
That we barely notice=
But it has
GREAT SIGNIFICANCE


It is so BIG
It leads to Jesus
And NEW HOPE
For all


REBIRTH=what is
IN A NAME?


We-too-get
NEW NAMES=at Baptism
Either at birth
Or later=
When we REMAKE
Our vows


A new name brings
A REBIRTH=
A new name
Brings NEW HOPE for
Us all


OUR new names=SIGNIFY
We are CHOSEN by God
And Jesus=
Just as Abraham was


“........for the Lord
Your God has chosen them


And their descendants
Out of all your tribes
To stand and minister


In the LORD'S NAME” Deuteronomy 18:5


“Those who know
Your NAME
Trust in you=


For you Lord
Have never forsaken
Those who seek you” Psalm 9:10


“A GOOD NAME
Is more desirable
Than great riches


To be esteemed
Is better
Than silver or gold” Proverbs 22:1


For what is in
A name but the REBIRTH
Of us=In God and Jesus=
FINDING NEW HOPE


As we approach EASTER
Let us CONCENTRATE
On our rebirth
Let us concentrate
On who we
REALLY ARE


Are we READY for God?
Are we ready for Jesus?
Are we ready for EASTER?


“But when the kindness
And love of God
Our SAVIOR appeared


He saved us=
NOT because of righteous things
We had done


But because of his mercy=
He saved us
Through the washing
Of REBIRTH and renewal
By the Holy SPIRIT” Titus 3:4-5


Let us get READY=
Let us CLAIM THE NAME
God has PREPARED for us
For all of time


Just like Abraham=
We are REBORN
FOREVER in God
Forever in Jesus
Forever=in the Spirit
OF GOD


That is WHAT IS IN
OUR NAMES


In Jesus' name and the name of his HOLY DIVINE SPIRIT and Father
