Today we read=in Luke

About MARY’S SONG

Glorifying the Lord

 

Her prayer=her Magnificat

Shows us

How the POWER OF GOD

Is so very different

 

In a person

Who is PREPARED to follow him

Than what is=WORLDLY POWER

In today’s world

LET US=PRAY WITH MARY

Let us=pray Mary’s song

For GLORIFYING THE LORD

 

“He cast down

THE MIGHTY=from their thrones

And has LIFTED UP the lowly”                                                                                                  Luke 1:52

 

WHEN we pray

With Mary=we see

The PARADOXES of life

 

We see HOW

The reign of God could look

 

We see

The hungry are now FILLED

We see

The rich are sent away EMPTY

And that the LITTLE ONES

Are now lifted up

LET US=PRAY WITH MARY!

 

“He has performed=mighty deeds

With his arm

 

He has SCATTERED those

Who are proud

In their inmost thoughts”                                                                                                           Luke 1:51

 

 

“He has

FILLED THE HUNGRY=with good things

But he has sent

The rich away empty”                                                                                                                    Luke 1:53

 

How much=OUR HEARTS

Would change=how much

OUR WORLD=would change

IF we took=Mary’s song seriously

 

Yet we know

All things are POSSIBLE=with God

Yet we know=our hearts CAN CHANGE

If we stay TUNED in

To God=Our Holy Father=

And his Son=Jesus Christ

 

LET US=PRAY WITH MARY

Let us all=play a part

In CHANGING THIS WORLD

 

“What other nation

Is so great=as to have

Their gods near them

The way=The Lord our God=is near us

Whenever WE PRAY to him?”                                                                                                       Deuteronomy 4:7

 

“……..and will give

Our attention TO PRAYER

And the ministry=of the word”                                                                                                   Acts 6:4

 

Dear Lord=we pray=show us

THE INJUSTICES=in our communities

 

And on=the FEAST OF THE ASSUMTION

Help us to=let us=PRAY WITH MARY!

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our Holy Father God=and the HOLY FAMILY!
