NOT BY OURSELVES!

 

NOT BY OURSELVES!

 

Very few of us-

Are DESTINED for greatness

 

But I think

We have to REMEMBER

NONE of us=if we get there

Get there by ourselves

 

We are HELPED ALONG

By the GIFTS from God

And Jesus=we are helped along

BY THE BLESSINGS=of others

 

“For everyone

Who exalts himself

WILL BE HUMBLED

 

But the one=who HUMBLES himself

Will be exalted”                                                                                                                          Luke 14:11

 

NOT IN OURSELVES!

Should we be boasting

NOT IN OURSELVES!=should we

Be giving the credit

 

ONLY in God

Only in Jesus=should we be BOASTING

TRUE HUMILITY=rests in God

NOT BY OURSELVES!=are we great!

 

“In God=we make OUR BOAST

All day along

 

And we will-

Praise your name forever”                                                                                                      Psalm 44:8

 

“Therefore-as it is written’

‘Let the one=WHO BOASTS

BOAST in the Lord’”                                                                                                       1 Corinthians 1:31

 

“May I never BOAST=

Except in the cross

Of our Lord=Jesus Christ

 

Through which the world

Has been crucified=to me

And I to the world”                                                                                                                Galatians 6:14

 

TRUE HUMILITY comes in

Boasting in the Lord

NOT BY OURSELVES!=are we great

 

For when we do something

With phenomenal excellence

 

It is then=that we should consider

The gifts we have received

And the cause=of our greatness

 

NOT BY OURSELVES!

Our gifts=our blessings

Our greatness=IF we

Are fortunate to have any

COMES FROM THE LORD!

 

“For it is by grace

You have been saved=Through faith--------

And this is=NOT FROM YOURSELVES

It is the gift of God-------

 

Not by works-

So that no one CAN BOAST”                                                                                                                Ephesians 2:5

 

When we humble ourselves

And give credit=TO THE GIVER

Of all good things

 

People will see

OUR true humility

And where our greatness comes from

IF we have any

 

NOT BY OURSELVES!=only in God

Can we become great

 

Point others

IN THE WAYS=towards God

 

In Jesus’ name=and in the name=of our ever great=HOLY FATHER GOD!
