FAMILY LOVE=FAMILY VISITS!

 

There is something=

About the LOVE OF FAMILY=

Family visits=family traditions

 

That keep us going

WHEN NOTHING=and

No one else can

 

Jesus KNEW this better

Than anyone=and so did Mary

FAMILY LOVE=FAMILY VISITS

Jesus=Mary=and Joseph

Our first and FOREVER FAMILY

 

“The Lord=Your God

IS IN your midst…”                                                                                                         Zephaniah 3:17

 

TODAY=we read about

Mary’s VISIT to Elizabeth=

Both pregnant=with COMING young children=

The LOVE these two women

Had for each other=IS UNDISPUTED

 

When Mary heard

Of Elizabeth’s miraculous pregnancy=

She TRAVELED to see her

 

“…….TRAVELED to the hill country=in haste”                                                                                 Luke 1:39

 

After Mary greeted Elizabeth=

Elizabeth’s infant=”LEAPED for joy=

In her womb”                                                                                                                                Luke 1:44

FAMILY VISITS=FAMILY LOVE

 

“He must manage=HIS OWN FAMILY well

And see that-

His children obey him=

 

And he must do so

In a manner=worthy=of full respect”                                                                               1 Timothy 3:4

 

“But if a widow

Has children or grandchildren=

These should learn=first of all

To put their religion=into practice

 

By caring

FOR THEIR OWN FAMILY

And so repaying

Their parents and grandparents”                                                                                        1 Timothy 5:4

 

Jesus and John the Baptist

Came from the HOLY FAMILY

The greatest family

OF ALL TIME

 

But many of us

COME from great families too

Families BASED on love=and

Families based on family visits

 

“God sets the lonely=IN FAMILIES

He leads out=

The prisoners with singing…….”                                                                                       Psalm 68:6

 

I come from

The greatest FAMILY=two beautiful parents

NO LONGER with us=

And two wonderful sisters

 

That CONTINUE to call me

Almost every single day=of my life

And VISIT=when they can

FAMILY LOVE=FAMILY VISITS!

 

And I come from

The greatest of EXTENDED FAMILIES

 

With FANTASTIC uncles and aunts=

Cousins=and many friends

WHO are like family to me

FAMILY LOVE=FAMILY VISITS!

 

NOTHING like family love

To KEEP us going

WHEN times are tough

 

This is WHY

Jesus could DO=what he did

 

FAMILY LOVE=is what

Has kept me going

ALL of these years

FAMILY LOVE=FAMILY VISITS!

 

This poem is for

THE HOLY FAMILY=my own FAMILY=and

ALL good families everywhere

 

IN HONOR of=the FAMILY UNIT=and our Holy Father God!=The FATHER=of all FAMILIES!
