WHAT'S IN IT FOR US?
Today we read about Peter
ASKING Jesus a question-
Basically=the question is=
WHAT is in it
For US?
“The Peter said to him
'We have GIVEN UP
Everything-and followed you
What will there be
For us?'” Matthew 19:27
And=FRIENDS=isn't that
Basically our question too=
Don't we WONDER
What we will get
For following Jesus
But years later=Peter doesn't
Ask the question
Any longer=he knows
What he gets=
He knows what
We all get
NEVER ENDING JOY
Life=all of our lives
Bring hardships=
But following Jesus
WALKING with Jesus=
Having Jesus
For our LIFETIME FRIEND
Brings JOY
“So the women
Hurried away
From the tomb
Afraid yet
FILLED WITH JOY
And ran
To tell his disciples” Matthew 28:8
“You have made known
To me
The paths of life
You will fill me
With JOY
In your presence” Acts 2:28
“May the God of hope
Fill you with ALL JOY
And peace
As you trust in him
So that you
May overflow
With HOPE
By the power
Of the HOLY SPIRIT” Romans 15:13
JOY is the GIFT
That we get
When we are FOLLOWERS
Of Jesus
Jesus guides us
When we are CONFUSED=
When we are weak
He sends us STRENGTH
When we are
IN PRAYER
Jesus makes us AWARE
Of his love and
HIS PRESENCE
So WHAT is in it
FOR US=
All the JOY
That we can stand=
Even when
The times are tough
“Consider it PURE JOY
My brothers and sisters
When you face trials
Of many kinds=
Because you know
That the testing
Of your FAITH
Produces perseverance” James 1:2
No matter where we are
In life
We live IN JOY
Because joy is a
GIFT from God=
And our God is CHANGELESS
My dear friends=life brings
With it HARDSHIPS and trials
But we CAN still
LIVE IN JOY=if we are
Walking in Jesus
That is WHAT IS IN IT
FOR US
In Jesus' name= and in the name=of our EVER JOYFUL FATHER
